DESCRIPTION:It is once again time to enjoy the winter roads of the Southern Tier with the Finger Lakes Region’s 2024 Winter Rally Series. Long Way Home is the first rally of the series and consists of approximately 160 competitive miles using mostly unpaved roads in the New York Southern Tier. \n\n\n\nEntry fees are $45/car + $15 for Weekend Membership if one team member in the car is not an SCCA member. There is a 35 car limit\, so pre-registration is recommended. DESCRIPTION:It is time for the First Friday Niter Road Rally of 2024\, sanctioned by The SCCA\, Cal Club Region\, and the Santa Monica Sports Car Club\, and it starts off with Rallymaster Joanna Weissen\, who is taking us on her annual tour of Christmas lights. We are traveling primarily in Burbank this year with some Glendale thrown in. There are lots of lights\, including a couple of displays with synchronized music (if they are still up – cross your fingers). The rally ends at the IHOP at 913 N San Fernando Blvd\, Burbank\, CA 91504\, 818-842-8622. \n\n\n\nThis rally uses the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring\, with timing in seconds. This month’s maximum penalty is 30 seconds (one-half minute) per leg. The app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone. Go to the App Store\, Google Play Store\, or https://richtarally.com/. There is no need for additional timing equipment or clocks – your Official Time shows in the app!  \n\n\n\nIf you want to see all the scores at the Finish\, download the FREE Richta Scoreboard app. \n\n\n\nPlease try to register online here on MotorSportReg. If that doesn’t work for you\, you can still register in person at the start. We start at the Bank of America rear lot; in-person registration opens at 7:00 PM\, with the first car out at 8:01 PM; there is a beginner/Richta meeting at 7:40 PM. SUMMARY:NJ: Ciocca Corvette Fall 2023 RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The South Jersey Region of the Sports Car Club of America cordially invites you to join our fellow car enthusiasts for our Ciocca Corvette Fall Road Rally. The rally starts at Ciocca Corvette in Atlantic City NJ on October 28\, 2023 with check in time of 9:00 am. The rally will be about a 4-hour 100-mile drive on all paved back roads through sparsely populated southern NJ\, finishing at the Finish Line Pub at New Jersey Motorsports Park. You and your teammate\, as Driver and Navigator\, will follow written route instructions at assigned average speeds. Average speeds are always at or below the speed limit for the road. You will have your time of arrival at each checkpoint recorded. The goal is to arrive at each checkpoint precisely on time. Penalty points are given equally for arriving to early (to fast) or to late (to slow). Awards will be presented in eligible classes at the finish about 3pm. \n\n\n\nNo prior rally experience is necessary. This rally is designed for people who are new to the sport of road rallying. There are no tricky instructions. There is a 50 car/small truck limit to the number of entries. \n\n\n\nThe rally will use a smart phone app for timing the contestants’ arrival at the checkpoints. The app uses GPS information from your phone to record your arrival time and will\, within a tenth of a seconds\, tell you how early or late you arrived. The app will also display your total score as you progress through the checkpoints. All contestants must have a cell phone with them for the rally. Cell phone signal strength is not an issue since you will download all the data needed to your phone prior to the rally. The app is free to download. Go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search Richta. Download the Richta competitor app. \n\n\n\nYou only need the following things: \n\n\n\nAny 4 wheeled street legal and insured car or small truck. \n\n\n\nA team of two people consisting of a Driver and Navigator. \n\n\n\nDriver must possess a current Driver’s license.  \n\n\n\nPay the entry fee of $30 per car ($15.00 per person). All cars with an SCCA member on the team will only pay $30 per car to enter. Cars with no SCCA members must pay an additional $15 for an SCCA Weekend Membership for the weekend and be covered by our club insurance. \n\n\n\nThe rally starts at Ciocca Corvette in Atlantic City\, NJ. Day of event check in begins at 9:00 am\, Contestants meeting at 10 am\, Rally begins at 10:30 am. \n\n\n\nThe rally finishes at the Finish Line Pub (NJMP\, 8000 Dividing Creek Rd\, Millville\, NJ 08332). First car should finish about 2:00pm. Trophy presentation will be about 3:00. \n\n\n\nSelect a Class as described below: Newbies should enter Stock \n\n\n\nStock: No limit on road rally calculating equipment but your mileage must be measured by the vehicle’s stock odometer located in its’ stock position. \n\n\n\nOpen: No limit on your road rally equipment\, trophy eligible at 5 cars entering this class. \n\n\n\nFor more information contact Rallymaster Jim Wakemen. \n\n\n\nEvent requirements\n\n\n\nThe RoadRally will be conducted in full compliance with the Abridged Road Rally Rules (RRRs) as supplemented by the event’s General Instructions (GIs). \n\n\n\nEach rally team will be required to bring a smartphone that is equipped with the Richta Autonomous GPS Checkpoint App. This app will monitor your car’s position during the rally and will record the precise time at which you arrive at each Timing Control on the rally. Once you have arrived at a Timing Control\, the app will calculate your score for that leg and display it to you. \n\n\n\nEach rally team will be required to bring a completed emergency contact\, vehicle inspection\, and insurance form to registration when you perform on-site registration.

SUMMARY:WA: Raindrop Rally 2023 – Trees to Seas
DESCRIPTION:Raindrop 2023 Trees to Seas will start in Monroe and tour for 120 miles over 5-1/2 hours. Roads will be paved and suitable for any automobile.  \n\n\n\nRaindrop is a leisurely paced Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) rally with fine driving roads\, minimum traffic\, and wonderful scenery. The rally is geared toward the novice entrant with no traps\, and with mileages for every instruction\, but precise timing will still be required to score well. Entrants receive instructions with specific\, clear directions at speeds at or below legal limits\, with specific times to start each section at one-minute intervals. Raindrop is a “closed control” (passage control) format where cars do not stop at checkpoints. DESCRIPTION:We have heard from Piotr Roszczenko requesting to ‘Save the Date’ for the 75th Running of the Press on Regardless Rally. Bruce Fisher will be Rallymaster\, and as of November 17\, 2022\, it is planned to be a Double National Tour Rally.  \n\n\n\nThe event will return to the Hampton Inn\, Gaylord\, MI\, the lodging used for the 2020 POR. A block of rooms has been set aside at $129 per night plus taxes. Ten rooms are reserved\, yet the hotel will add more when those are booked; they will release the rooms on 8/24/2023.  \n\n\n\nMore details to follow.

SUMMARY:CA: Gold Rush National Tour Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA San Francisco Region is returning to the SCCA National Tour RoadRally Championship with its Gold Rush National Tour Rally on August 27th\, a day after Golden West 2023 Road Rally\, a National Course RoadRally Championship event. The Entry Fee for SCCA Members is $90 for each rally or $170 for the weekend. An SCCA Weekend Membership is available for an additional $15\, as may be needed by a team. All registrations will be handled through MotorsportsReg. General Instructions will be emailed on August 19th\, and all entries must be received by August 21st. \n\n\n\nAs of April 20th\, the tentative schedule: Registration at Headquarters: Friday\, August 25th\, 5:00-7:30 PM \n\n\n\nThe Gold Rush National Tour Rally\, by Rallymaster Stu Helfer\, will be a low-pressure\, low-scoring touring event through southern Sacramento and San Joaquin Counties—an easy-to-follow drive with mileages at most route instructions and many GPS scoring opportunities. \n\n\n\nRallymaster Andy Stocker encourages rallyists to compete in the two National Championship RoadRally events by Cal Club Region and the Santa Monica Sports Car Club the prior weekend\, August 19th and 20th\, and then spend several days heading north along the amazing California coastline. Visit places like the Getty Museum\, Santa Barbara\, Hearst’s Castle\, Big Sur\, Carmel\, Monterey Bay Aquarium\, Santa Cruz\, Bodega Bay\, Napa Valley Wineries\, and more! Then finish with the SCCA San Francisco Region’s two Sacramento rallies – Golden West 2023 National Course Rally and the Gold Rush National Tour Rally. \n\n\n\nEntrants must have the Richta GPS Competitor App installed on their phones (available for free for iOS/Android)\, as the event will use the Richta GPS Competitor App for scoring. \n\n\n\nStay tuned for more details!

SUMMARY:CA: Hot August Night Rally
DESCRIPTION:All roads look different after sunset. Driving a night rally is like stepping into a parallel universe\, defined only by the route instructions\, odometer\, and headlights. Please join the Redwood Region PCA for our annual night rally and experience rallying in an alternate\, dark reality. The Hot August Night is a Monte Carlo-style rally. \n\n\n\nThere will be no onsite registration\, so head over to MotorsportReg for more information and to register. Entry fees are $25 for PCA Members and $30 for non-PCA. \n\n\n\nPCA membership is not required\, and all cars are welcome. There are no experience or equipment-based classes. A 13 or older navigator is required\, and additional occupants are always welcome. \n\n\n\nAll roads are paved and in good condition. The route will be well-defined\, with miles to each turn and a diagram of each intersection. The exact location of each checkpoint\, and the time you are due\, will be included in your route instructions. You will use the free Competitor Richta GPS Competitor app on your smartphone\, which includes the official rally time. Simply pass the checkpoint at your assigned time for a zero!
