SUMMARY:GA: SEDiv Convention RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Buccaneer Region is excited to announce our latest road rally event and our first 2025 — Road Rally Event #1\, which will be held at the SEDiv Annual Convention. Each car will drive on paved public roads using a set of predefined route instructions through various checkpoints using the Richta GPS Checkpoint app\, a free app downloaded to your smart device from the Apple Store or GooglePlay. \n\n\n\nParticipants will be scored based on their arrival time at each defined checkpoint. We will start at the conference hotel\, where cars depart 1 minute apart. We will also finish at the conference hotel\, where scoring and lunch will be available (you are responsible for purchasing your food; we encourage everyone to eat and support the location).  \n\n\n\nAre you new to road rallies or unsure what this is all about? Check out this (somewhat lengthy but humorous) video explanation.  \n\n\n\nAny car that meets all Georgia state laws and is insured to meet the state’s minimum insurance requirements is allowed. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance will be required at on-site registration. Each car is allowed as many people as there are seat belts in the vehicle\, but each car is suggested to have at least two people: a Driver and a Navigator. There will be a starting location\, five (5) unmanned checkpoints\, followed by a sixth checkpoint at the finishing location. Team numbers will be assigned but the starting order will be determined randomly. \n\n\n\nThree classes for this rally are available: Stock\, Limited\, and Seat of Your Pants. Visit https://www.scca.com/pages/roadrally-rules for official class descriptions and rules. Below are some examples of the types of setups used in each class.  \n\n\n\nOnline registration for the driver and navigator is required. To register and for more information\, visit motorsportreg.com today! \n\n\n\nFrom RReNews\, we think it is a fantastic way to “expose” our sport to those who enjoy other SCCA-sanctioned motorsports. We look forward to hearing the story and seeing the scores! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n Leave a ReplyCancel reply \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. SUMMARY:CA Cal Club First Friday Niter Social Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Join Rallymaster Joanna Weissen for the last FFN by the Cal Club Region Santa Monica Sports Car Club as they go on hiatus. Last year’s January FFN\, the rally will be a tour (no traps) focusing on Christmas light displays\, which were spectacular\, with many lights and a few massive displays. It will likely run in Burbank and/or Glendale and likely finish at the IHOP on Glendale Ave in Glendale.  \n\n\n\nThis rally uses the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring. The app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone. It is available on the App Store or Google Play Store or at https://richtarally.com/. There is no need for additional timing equipment or clocks—your Official Time shows in the app! Download the FREE Richta Scoreboard app\, if you want to see all the scores at the Finish. \n\n\n\nPlease try to register online at www.msreg.com/FFN012025. If that doesn’t work for you\, you can still register in person at the start of the SMSCC events. However\, it helps the organizers print adequate copies of the route instructions and confirm the numbers for the ending location. We start at the Bank of America rear lot in Mission Hills. In-person registration opens at 7:00 p.m.\, with the first car out at 8:01 p.m. There is a beginner/Richta meeting at 7:40 p.m. \n\n\n\nIs your usual rally partner not available for this FFN? Let Jeanne know\, and she will attempt (with no guarantees) to match you up with another rallyist. Contact Jeanne at ean21@juno.com.  \n\n\n\nAfter the January FFN\, we will switch to the SMEMSS rallies — Santa Monica Even Month Second Saturday rallies. Yes\, daytime! Please join us for these daytime rallies on the second Saturday morning of even months (February\, April\, and so on). It’s amazing what you can see along the routes in the daylight. They will start at the same place as the FFNs\, the Bank of America rear lot in Mission Hills. In-person registration will open at 9:00 am\, and the first car will be out at 10:01 am\, and it will take approximately 2 to 3 hours to complete. For a list of the dates\, go to www.smscc.org and click “Next Day Rally.” We will be posting more information on MotorSportReg soon. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n Leave a ReplyCancel reply \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. Thomas vonHatten\, Rallymaster\, 314-715-1398\, tom.vonhatten@gmail.com \n\n\n\nGood things to know: As indicated above\, we will use the Competitor – Richta GPS Checkpoint app for timing and scoring. To compete\, each participating team must have a smartphone or tablet with active data cellular service (no airplane mode and no Wi-Fi-only devices) and the Richta Competitor App installed. The app will report your arrival time and leg score to your cellphone or tablet moments after you pass each GPS checkpoint location. To download the app\, search for “Competitor Richta” or “Richta GPS Competitor App”  at Google Play or Apple’s App Store. For more information about the Richta GPS system\, visit https://richtarally.com. \n\n\n\nThe SCCA Detroit Region’s rally page has an excellent summary of the Richta system\, especially its Competitor App. Visit http://drscca.org/rally/using-the-richta-competitor-app. It is worth your time. \n\n\n\nAbout the St. Louis Region\, SCCA: The SCCA’s St. Louis Region\, with some 600 members\, offers Road Racing\, Performance Driving Experience (PDE)\, RallyCross\, RoadRally\, Solo (autocross)\, and Street Survival School programs to educate and provide safe environments for individuals to enjoy their street-legal (daily driver) cars and purpose-built racecars. The Region is home to more than 80 National Champions and has been recognized four times by the Sports Car Club of America as the Region of the Year in its member category. To learn more about the St. Louis Region\, visit www.stlscca.org. \n\n\n\nEvent Requirements\n\n\n\nRules and Waivers: \n\n\n\nThe standard SCCA rules regarding road rallies will be observed. To wit: proof of valid driver’s license and current auto insurance\, vehicle inspection (self-inspection by the rally team)\, and signing of applicable SCCA forms. \n\n\n\nAll participants will be required to read and sign the standard SCCA waiver before being allowed to participate in this event. The signing of the SCCA “Release and Waiver of Liability\, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement” is a precondition to participating in any SCCA event. Any adult 18 or older must sign the waiver. \n\n\n\nMinor Participants: A Minor taking part in this event must have an Annual Minor Waiver on file with the SCCA for the current calendar year\, i.e.\, 2024. \n\n\n\nThe Age of Majority is 18 except in Alabama and Nebraska\, where it is 19\, and Mississippi\, where it is 21. \n\n\n\nThe Annual Minor Waiver will be issued to the Minor by the SCCA National Office. For more information about this process\, click on the following document and see the section “Minor Annual Waivers”: Digital Annual Waiver 12-01-2021.pdf. \n\n\n\nBefore obtaining an “Annual Waiver Minor” for a child\, non-member parents/guardians\, as well as the Minor in question\, must obtain an SCCA Guest Account. \n\n\n\n1. Log onto scca.com. \n\n\n\n2. Click “Join/Renew” in the information bar at the top of the page. \n\n\n\n3. Click on “Create a Guest Account.” \n\n\n\n4. Click on “I don’t have a Member ID.” \n\n\n\n5. Complete the required information. \n\n\n\nOnce you\, as parents or guardians\, have received your Guest Accounts\, you can begin the process of acquiring an Annual Minor Waiver for your child. See again the document noted above: Digital Annual Waiver 12-01-2021.pdf. \n\n\n\nDo not wait until the last minute to obtain an Annual Minor Waiver for your Minor child/participant. SCCA staff are normally not available after regular business hours or on weekends\, so a last-minute Waiver request cannot be processed before the start of this road rally. Without a valid waiver\, your Minor will not be allowed to participate. \n\n\n\nFinally\, please read carefully: \n\n\n\nIf you are registering for the first time and paying for the event entry\, choose Option 1 on the order form and follow the prompts. \n\n\n\nIf you are registering as a co-entrant and your partner has already registered\, choose Option 2 on the order form. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n Leave a ReplyCancel reply \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. SUMMARY:CA: Cal Club First Friday Niter Social Roadrally
DESCRIPTION:The First Friday Niter Road Rally\, a five-decade tradition\, is sanctioned by the SCCA\, Cal Club Region\, and the Santa Monica Sports Car Club!   \n\n\n\nJoin us for August First Friday Niter on August 2nd for another Tour Rally in the Citrus Blossom Series presented by Santa Monica Sports Car Club. Rallymaster Rachel Smith has written this rally using some of her favorite roads\, which she says are “all about the view.” The rally will head West along SR 126\, but won’t quite go into Ventura County this time. After a few miles in the local hills\, the rally heads back into Santa Clarita\, ending at Toppers Pizza\, 23710 Valencia Blvd\, Santa Clarita (corner of Valencia and Magic Mtn). Come on out and help us celebrate the club’s 64th Anniversary! \n\n\n\nThis rally uses the Competitor—Richta GPS Checkpoints app for timing and scoring\, with timing in tenths of seconds. The maximum penalty this month is 120 seconds (2 minutes) per checkpoint. The app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone. Go to the App Store or Google Play Store\, or https://richtarally.com/ to download. There is no need for additional timing equipment or clocks – your Official Time shows in the app!  \n\n\n\n Also\, if you want to see all the scores at the Finish\, download the FREE Richta Scoreboard app. \n\n\n\nPlease try to register online at MotorSportReg at msreg.com/FFN082024. If that doesn’t work for you\, you can still register in person at the start. We start in the rear lot at the Bank of America in Mission Hills.  In-person registration opens at 7:00 pm\, with the first car out at 8:01 pm; there is a beginner/Richta meeting at 7:40 pm. \n\n\n\nIs your usual rally partner not available for this FFN? Let Jeanne know and she will attempt (no guarantees) to match you up with another single.  Contact Jeanne at ean21@juno.com.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n Leave a ReplyCancel reply \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. The other member of a non-SCCA team will receive a free SCCA Trial Membership (as will any non-SCCA member of an SCCA team). \n\n\n\nInformation: J. SUMMARY:WI: Coulee Classic Tour Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Chippewa Trail Weekend! This year\, we have two events: the Coulee Classic National Tour Road Rally on Saturday and the Chippewa Trail National GTA Rally on Sunday. \n\n\n\nCoulee Classic is a tour through the paved roads of Coulee country in SW Wisconsin\, especially Buffalo County. Speeds will be brisk. \n\n\n\nAlong the way\, you will pass through Elmwood (the UFO capital of WI)\, which will be celebrating UFO days. The usual Coulee Classic roads\, such as Center Creek\, Mike Varanick\, and McDonough\, provide great regularities. This year\, you also get to run the Waumandee Hill Climb course. \n\n\n\nLunch is at the Silvermoon near Alma WI. We will provide a hosted lunch to speed up mealtime. \n\n\n\nFrom the organizers: “The Coulee Classic was a traditional rally run in Buffalo County and put on by the Alfa Club. It ended at the Stone Barn pizza (which you will pass). This version ends at Lucette Brewing\, which also has great wood-fired pizza and beer and soft drinks. \n\n\n\nBoth Chippewa Trail Weekend rallies will use the MiRally GPS system for timing and scoring. Smartphones are not required\, and there is no app to learn for timing. \n\n\n\nClick here for more information and to Register your team for the Chippewa Trail Weekend today! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n Leave a ReplyCancel reply \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n This site uses Akismet to reduce spam.
