The Cheese Freeze TSD Competition Rally\, a Time Speed Distance road rally\, is for enthusiasts looking for an adventure. All proceeds benefit the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and the ALS Association. Grab a car and a co-driver and compete in this novice-friendly event! We love welcoming new friends to the sport.  \n\n\n\nOur event begins and ends at Monk’s in Lake Delton\, WI. This “day into night” road rally will put teams onto the best driver’s roads our state has to offer. The unpredictable road conditions make for an exciting and challenging experience. Follow a preset course at preset speeds to reach the checkpoints at exactly the right time. Careful not to go off course by making a wrong turn… that’ll cost you precious time! DESCRIPTION:The Metro Region\, Porsche Club of America\, proudly announces that the 2020 Road Rally season will start on January 26th with the 64th Snowflake Rally. Snowflake is the premier rally of Metro PCA. It is reported to be one of the\, if not the oldest\, continuously run events in all of PCA.  \n\n\n\nThe Snowflake Rally this year will be a “multi-format” event. What is a Rally\, you ask? As in any other automotive driving event\, you are given turn-by-turn instructions directing you from a starting point to a finish point. \n\n\n\nHistorically Snowflake has been a TSD (time speed distance) rally. You are given speeds to travel\, and the time you are to start each section of instructions. We know when you are supposed to pass any point along the route. The more accurately you maintain the speeds\, the better you will do when we record your due time at unannounced places.  \n\n\n\nThis year\, participants can choose to answer questions about things seen along the drive. You may elect to only answer questions and not worry about time or do both. \n\n\n\nYou may also enter the Tour Class\, where time and questions are unimportant. Everyone will follow the same route.  \n\n\n\nThe Rally will end at the Birchwood Restaurant’s Sunday Brunch featuring Polish\, American\, and Italian fare. DESCRIPTION:This is a Tour rally featuring challenging mountain roads with breathtaking scenery\, magnificent forests and awe-inspiring overlooks. We will have the traditions of the Inaugural Leg\, Banana Leg\, and Sherman Oakes Mark.  \n\n\n\nThe rally will run to SMSCC’s First Friday Niter General Instructions\, which are available on the SMSCC website. The rally will use the Richta GPS Checkpoints timing system for 50+ checkpoints. \n\n\n\nRegistration opens at 9:00 AM\, the first car out at 10:01 AM. Beginner and Richta orientation at 9:40 AM. The Inaugural Rally will be about 6½ hours\, and it will end in Santa Clarita.  \n\n\n\nEntry fees are $45 at the Start. This is on Friday\, March 20\, 2020\, and is the ‘prolog’ to the Driftless Challenge National Tour Rally which runs on Saturday\, March 21st. \n\n\n\n2PM to 10PM  Registration3PM-7PM Driftless Challenge Prolog (start anytime in the range you want)6PM-10PM Cars finish\n\n\n\nThe rally will utilize a GPS based timing and scoring system and feature an electronic roadbook friendly to newcomers as well as experienced. \n\n\n\nThe rally will be run in accordance with the 2020 SCCA Road Rally Regulations (RRR) as amended by the event’s Additional Supplementary Regulations (ASR). Shortly before the rally\, you will receive the Roadbook as a PDF. You are expected to print your own copies. If you can’t\, send us an email and we will print one for you. You will also get an electronic Roadbook or RBK file. Those using the Rally Rabbit 2 app can load it on their device. The RBK not only shows instructions but manages your mileage\, time\, speed changes\, and any other items needed to follow the course and get good scores. \n\n\n\nTiming and scoring will be done by the MiRally GPS Control system. An app monitors your location using GPS and reports it to a central Timing and Scoring facility in the cloud. The timing points will be essentially Passage Controls. A timed section\, usually 2 -5 miles may provide timing points every quarter mile. \n\n\n\nThis year we will also have some MiRallyGPS boxes. The Driftless Area is a region in southwestern Wisconsin\, southeastern Minnesota\, northeastern Iowa\, and the extreme northwestern corner of Illinois\, of the American Midwest. The region escaped the flattening effects of glaciation during the last ice age and is consequently characterized by steep\, forested ridges\, deeply carved river valleys\, and karst geology characterized by spring-fed waterfalls and cold-water trout streams. The RBK not only shows instructions but manages your mileage\, time\, speed changes\, and any other items needed to follow the course and get good scores. \n\n\n\nTiming and scoring will be done by the MiRally GPS Control system. An app monitors your location using GPS and reports it to a central Timing and Scoring facility in the cloud. The timing points will be essentially Passage Controls. A timed section\, usually 2 -5 miles may provide timing points every quarter mile. \n\n\n\nThis year we will also have some MiRallyGPS boxes. Individuals\, colleges and universities\, car clubs and manufacturers are all invited to participate.Entries in the rallies are now being accepted through the Toyota Green Grand Prix website.The diversity of the day’s activities emphasizes the breadth of the goals of the Green Grand Prix. “The mission of the Toyota Green Grand Prix is educational\, to promote innovation in sustainable transportation technologies\,” said Bob Gillespie\, chairman of the Green Grand PrixCorp.\, a non-profit organization. “We are proud that our event\, in its twelthth year\, attracts students from universities\, colleges and high schools. The rallies are open to nearly all classes of road vehicles. The afternoon fuel economy event will include the Prius Challenge\, with special categories of competition for all generations of Toyota Prius. A class for Exhibition category vehicles will also be included. \n\n\n\nMany hybrids\, plug-in hybrids and full electric vehicles are expected.The Doris Bovee Foundation is one of the Green Grand Prix’s key supporters\, and the morning event is named in the honor of Doris Bovee\, who was a well-known area environmentalist and taught for many years in the Corning-Painted Post (NY) school district .She was known for her love of plants and birds. Ms. Bovee was also involved with SCCA road rallies and was part of the Glen Region SCCA at its inception. You and a partner (Driver and Navigator) will be issued a set of Route Instructions that will take you on a scenic journey through the marvelous country roads in the southern Kettle Moraine Forest area of Wisconsin. The Kettle Moraine Colors Road Rallye\, sanctioned by the SCCA Milwaukee Region is a ‘Tour’ type rally and there are no traps or tricks – just drive\, enjoy the great roads and marvelous scenery and try to arrive at each checkpoint at precisely the right time. Checkpoints will be set up along the way to monitor how well you are following the assigned average speeds. Awards will be presented to the teams who do the best job of arriving at the checkpoints at the proper times. This is a rally designed especially for people with little or no rally experience. \n\n\n\nStart and finish location:  Nagawaukee Shopping Center\, just north of I-94 at the HWY 83 exit\, Delafield. \n\n\n\nSchedule: Check-in opens at 9:00 AM. The first car departs at 11:01 AM\, and we anticipate the first car finished at approximately 4:15 PM. \n\n\n\nCost:  $40.00/car\, a minimum of two people per car is required\, but you may have up to four people per car. \n\n\n\nPre-registration is required for this event. SUMMARY:DE: Bridges of the Brandywine III
DESCRIPTION:The second rally of 2020\, sanctioned by the Brandywine Motorsport Club\, will be held on Saturday\, November 21st. The Bridges of the Brandywine III rally route is set on fun and twisty roads in northern Delaware and southeastern Pennsylvania. The course is approximately 60 miles long and will take about 2 to 2-1/2 hours to complete. All roads are paved although some may be bumpy in places. This rally is centralized on the many bridges in our area that span the Brandywine River.  \n\n\n\nSet up in a style similar to the TSD rallies put on by BMC in the ’50s & ’60s\, this rally should be fun for all rally enthusiasts. All checkpoints are DIY and require only basic math.  \n\n\n\nStart Location: Meet at the ‘Greenville Center’ sign for check-in. There will be onsite registration at 12:00 PM. The first car departs at 1:00 PM + car number. \n\n\n\nFinish Location:  The rally ends at Greenville Center. There will be no BMC-sponsored dinner due to indoor dining restrictions. However\, feel free to visit any of the lovely restaurants in the Greenville area. \n\n\n\nClasses: The Bridges of the Brandywine III will have two classes: Novice (have not participated in more than four TSD-style rallies in the past) and Expert (have participated in five or more TSD-style rallies in the past). DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the 39th year of the Winter Rally Series\, sanctioned by Finger Lakes Region SCCA. The 2021 series will consist of six Saturday night\, straight-forward\, driver’s style\, time\, speed & distance (TSD) rallies (using tulip diagrams). The first of the series were held in December 2020. \n\n\n\nThese General Instructions (GI’s) will apply to all of the events and will contain most of the information you will need to compete. Each event will include an addendum to provide information unique to that event. If there is a conflict\, the addenda will take precedence. \n\n\n\nA team is classified by the most experienced person in the vehicle.EQUIPPED Any team using equipment where the time calculating device receives direct input from the mileage- measuring device (Zeron\, Alpha\, Speed Pilot\,Timewise\, Halda\, Joe’s House O’ etc.).LIMITED The distance measuring device and calculating device may not provide direct input to each other. Allowable equipment includes rally tables\, Stevens wheel\, Alpina\, Curta\, Autopacer\, slide rule\, hundredths reading odometer\, and any calculator. “Unconnected” rally computers are NOT acceptable. Use of a smartphone or other device in any function other than the clock\, or 4 function calculator\, or GPS navigation will require running in Limited.STOCK Any team using a stand-alone clock and a stock odometer in the stock location\, plus any of these: tables\, slide rule\, single memory four-function electronic calculator. GPS units (or smartphones used as a navigational aid only) are allowed in Stock. All rally calculation apps are specifically not allowed in Stock.NOVICE Any team in which EACH person has competed in fewer than six time-speed-distance road rallies. There are no equipment limitations. If you qualify as a Novice at your first event of this series\, you may compete in the entire series as a Novice. If the driver or navigator is not a Novice the team is not.\n\n\n\nLIMITING ENTRIES. Events are designed for a maximum of 35 cars. DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Southern Indiana Region’s rally season opens on March 14 with the A π Day Yummy Rally\, a TSD (Time/Speed/Distance) rally. We’ll gather in the Café Court area\, so park accordingly\, on the backlot of Washington Square Mall\, from the east side (Erie Avenue). \n\n\n\nThe list of entrants is growing slowly. There’s no room for everyone\, but the is room for you! \n\n\n\nThis will be a simple rally\, using the Richta GPS Checkpoint system\, with quite a few “on course” checkpoints…which won’t pay candy bars like zeroing the scored controls will. Please have the latest version of the Richta Competitor app on the smartphone or tablet you’ll devote to the rally. \n\n\n\nTech and entrant check-in will run from 12:30 to 1:00 with the first car out about 1:30. SUMMARY:TX: Tick Tock RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to the Tick Tock Rally\, an SCCA Regional Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) tour rally over paved backroads of Denton and Cooke counties. A precision driving event at fun speeds to (re)introduce TSD rallying to the Texas Region. This will be a Monte Carlo-style rally. Course following is easy with mileage on every instruction and a sign reference\, if there is one.  We score you on how close to the perfect time you arrive at checkpoint locations along the route.  No calculations involved.  We tell you where every control is and the perfect time to arrive there.  All you have to do is arrive at that time.  Get one point for each second early or late; a low score wins. \n\n\n\nIt is not a speed or racing contest. You will be timed at the checkpoints by means of the Richta GPS smart phone app.  Scores are automatically reported to the Rallymaster.  No score sheet to fill out. We will send you information on it after you pre-register. Also\, we plan to conduct a Rally School via Zoom (currently scheduled for April 25th) to help prepare for the rally. It’ll include a short test rally that you can run to see how the app works before rally day. We encourage you to attend the School. \n\n\n\nThe rally will begin and end at HL Brockett Elementary School\, with Registration beginning at 1030A. The first car leaves out at 12P + your car number. The route\, laid out by Rallymaster Liz Witt\,  is approximately 87 miles\, with two rest breaks along the course where you can get fast food as well.   \n\n\n\nRegistration will be on Hagerty Motorsportreg.com\, with the entry fee of $25 for SCCA Members and $35 for Weekend Members. Three classes: First-timer (neither crew member has run a rally before)\, Novice (two rally trophies or less)\, General\, and Master (this is an optional class: no trophies).  \n\n\n\nIn light of the current COVID-19 situation\, every attempt will be made to minimize the risks of exposure to the virus. New processes and procedures have been developed and will be put into place to support this objective. You should not have to get out of your car.  All of the registration materials and rally materials needed for the event will be available online or sent to you via email\, and can be completed and returned ahead of the event or\, if applicable\, you can print them and bring them with you. In some cases (e.g.\, Minor Waivers that have not been notarized) we will witness you signing the completed form. We will also send you the General Instructions and Route Instructions to print out at home. \n\n\n\nUltimately\, it is your responsibility to assess the risk to you\, comply with applicable COVID-19 guidelines and make the decision on whether or not to participate.

SUMMARY:IN: Monte ReDeux RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Indianapolis Region heads out on the Monte ReDeux Road Rally\, on Saturday\, May 1st.  \n\n\n\nThe Monte ReDeux is a time-speed-distance rally designed specifically for beginners but fun for non-beginners as well. This is a Monte Carlo Tour-style rally that uses the Richta App for timing. At each restart point\, you will be given the mileage from the restart point to the subsequent checkpoint\, and the exact time in minutes and seconds that you should take to get there.  At each restart point\, you will re-zero your trip odometer and leave at the beginning of the next minute\, as observed on the Richta App. After you leave the restart point\, the App will tell you what minute you started on. Simply add the leg time given in your route instructions to that restart time\, and you will know the exact time you need to arrive at the next control. It is quite possible for Novices to score very near zero on controls. DESCRIPTION:Join your fellow car enthusiasts for the Badger Burrow Regional Tour RoadRally\, a five-hour\, 120 mile time-speed-distance road rally\, sanctioned by the SCCA Milwaukee Region. You and a partner (Driver and Navigator) will be issued a set of Route Instructions that will take you on a scenic journey through the marvelous country roads in the Driftless area southwest of Madison\, Wisconsin. This is a ‘Tour’ type rally and there are no traps or tricks – just drive\, enjoy the great roads and marvelous scenery and try to arrive at each checkpoint at precisely the right time. Checkpoints will be set up along the way to monitor how well you are following the assigned average speeds. Awards will be presented to the teams who do the best job of arriving at the checkpoints at the proper times. This is a rally designed especially for people with little or no rally experience. \n\n\n\nRegistration closes Friday\, May 7th\, at 5PM\, so don’t delay in getting your team registered! There will be no onsite registration. Cost is $40 per car\, with a minimum of two people per car\, yet you may have up to four people in your vehicle. \n\n\n\nIMPORTANT:  The Badger Burrow uses automatic scoring and GPS checkpoints. You will be timed automatically as your vehicle passes the checkpoint location and your score will be immediately displayed.  Contestants need to use a smartphone during the rally\, running the Richta Competitor App. Please download the app from the Google Playstore (Android) or the Apple App Store.  Please read the Appendix of the General Instructions for further details.

SUMMARY:WI: Chippewa Trail National Tour RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The Land of Lakes Chippewa Trail is an SCCA National Tour RoadRally counting towards the SCCA National RoadRally Championship. It starts and ends in Menomonie\, WI\, on Saturday\, May 15th. Menomonie is a small college town (UW Stout) with a variety of things to do and interesting restaurants and breweries. \n\n\n\nHeadquarters is the AmericInn in Menomone located at the junction of Interstate 94 and WIS 25. We have no rate at this time but last I checked it was $98/night the weekend of May 15. \n\n\n\nThere is a Fleet Farm across the road as well as a car wash and Gas Station/Convenience store.  \n\n\n\nRoads: Only paved roads are used.  \n\n\n\nLength: about 200 miles. Should take a little less than 8 hours to run. \n\n\n\nThe rally follows the international regularity rally format. Speed shall have no impact whatsoever on the classification. Regularity Tests (RTs) shall be set up where participants have to follow the established average speed and stay close to the ideal time throughout the route. Time penalties shall be handed down as points. The winner shall be the competitor with the fewest points at the end of the rally. The details of the itinerary and the various controls shall be set out in the time card. \n\n\n\nAll registration material will be either online or sent to you via SIGNAL so you can fill it out before arrival. The exception is the SCCA Waiver which we must witness. If you want timely updates and all printed material the weekend before the event you MUST set up and join the group when you register.
