SUMMARY:PA: Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Kick-Off Rallye
DESCRIPTION:Our Kick-Off Rallye is truly the kick-off event of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix as it occurs a week before our Race Week. It’s like an afternoon scavenger hunt on wheels. The route is  kept a secret until you are given your instructions that morning. Your score is determined by how close you can follow directions and stay within posted speed limits and reach the finish line. You also need to answer some trivia questions along the way. The lower your score the better. No experience is necessary\, just have fun and help raise funds for our charities. \nOur starting point – the Schenley Park Cafe \nThe 2016 Kick-off Rallye will once again begin at the Schenley Park Cafe and Visitor Center which is just across the street from Phipps Conservatory in Oakland – right on the same road where we will race two weeks later! The driving portion of the Rallye starts at 11:30 with cars leaving every 60 seconds. It takes 2-3 hours to complete the Rallye. The final destination for meals\, drinks and awards is still a mystery – stay tuned. \nContact\nFor details email Paul MacIntyre or phone at 412 673-0998 (home). \nEntry\nThe entry fee for a team of two is $75.00 (discounted to $60 until May 1). This includes entry and meals for two people. Meals for any additional participants can be purchased for only $15 each  Register online today. \nYou can also download a 2016 Kick-Off Rallye Form and pay with a check.

SUMMARY:OR: Monte Shelton Northwest Classic Rally XXVIII
DESCRIPTION:The Alfa Romeo Owners of Oregon invites you to participate in the Northwest Classic Rally. Each year the Northwest Classic Rally visits a wonderful resort where we end Friday’s and Saturday’s rallying and touring with social activities including optional car washing\, general tire-kicking\, and banquet dinners\, and we conclude the event on Sunday morning with the Awards Brunch. Our 2016 destination is The Oregon Garden Resort. \n\n\n\nThere are four great ways: \n\n\n\nRALLY — The Northwest Classic Rally is a classic time-speed-distance road rally\, and competitors may register for either of two classes: Standard or Vintage. The allowed equipment for each class is defined in the 2015 General Instructions\, but basically\, the Standard Class allows the use of the car’s original speedometer and odometer\, clocks and watches\, slide rules\, and single-memory\, non-programmable calculators. The Vintage Class allows only the original speedometer and odometer\, plus clocks and watches. \n\n\n\nCars Eligible for the Rally A key element of this event is the enjoyment of older vehicles. The sights\, sounds\, and smells of classic or vintage vehicles form essential aspects of the event. Therefore\, cars participating in the competitive rally must be sports sedans\, sports cars\, and other special interest vehicles manufactured before 1981. (Exceptions for cars manufactured after 1980 may be made by the organizers\, in advance only\, for cars that are not substantially different from cars of the same marque and model made in 1980. If the car you wish to enter requires an exception\, contact the organizers by June 30 for a determination of acceptability.) \n\n\n\nTOUR — Competitive rallying is not for everyone\, but the Northwest Classic Rally is! If you would like to participate without the route-following challenges and the calculations necessary to remain “on time\,” we offer the option to register for a tour only. The tour is conducted in a follow-the-leader format\, generally following the rally route and sharing the same great roads\, great scenery\, and great food of the competitive rally. To register for the tour\, please check the Tour box in the YOUR CAR section of the Registration Form. \n\n\n\nCars Eligible for the Tour Any car may be entered in the Tour\, and we encourage you to get your favorite car of any vintage on the road in the Tour. This is also an excellent option for those still shopping for a rally-qualifying car\, or for those whose rally-qualifying car is under restoration or repair. \n\n\n\nVOLUNTEER — Another great way to participate is by volunteering.  We have a wide variety of requirements for volunteers ranging from Thursday set-up\, checkpoint workers\, and food and beverage coordinators. Please get in touch with the Volunteer Coordinator for a list of available positions. Volunteers pay no registration fee\, and they enjoy complimentary meals throughout their volunteer duties. \n\n\n\nSPONSOR — Yet another great way to participate is via sponsorship. We offer three levels of support ranging from $1\,000 to $300. In-kind sponsorships and product donations are also considered. Please get in touch with the Sponsor Coordinator for a Sponsorship Schedule and to discuss the possibilities. \n\n\n\nhttp://montesheltonnorthwestclassicrally.org/registration.html

SUMMARY:WI: March Muddy Waters Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The March Muddy Waters is a map based pre-plot road rally. What that means is we give you instructions and you plot them on the provided map. You will be plotting the shortest course consistent with the clues. You then follow the map to each checkpoint. The course uses all paved roads and is less than 100 miles. This is a timed (TSD) rally\, not a gimmick or GTA. \n\n\nRegistration 11-12:30\, from Paddy Ryan’s in Hudson\, WI. \nFirst Car Out 1:00 PM \nEnds at the Valley. Excellent Chicken feed while you await the scores. \nSnippets from the Regulations: Determining the course\, Map \nThe course is determined by plotting the course on the map provided. Unless otherwise stated each Route Card should be plotted using only the given information and in the order given\, implied or necessary\, to solve the Route Card. The shortest route consistent with this information should be plotted between each Route Card’s Start and Finish. Route Cards are designed to be stand alone\, i.e. you must plot any of them independently without needing to solve neighboring ones first. \nRegulations will be found on the Registration website.

Their challenge is to cover a prescribed course\, which is described by a set of written instructions\, at the LEGAL speeds prescribed in the written instructions. Any street-legal car or truck may be entered. \nEntrants will have TWO CLASSES to choose from to enter. STOCK CLASS is for those who wish to run the traditional DRIVER/NAVIGATOR team in which the DRIVER only drives and the NAVIGATOR only navigates. UNLIMITED CLASS is for those who wish to ‘swap seats’ at the prescribed points during the event. SUMMARY:CA: Lost Highway Monte Carlo Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Into the Night Rally Team’s Lost Highway 2018 is a straightforward Starlite-style Monte Carlo navigational road rally open to all street-legal vehicles.\nWhat is a navigational road rally? We’re out there. Waiting for you on some back road in the gathering dusk. A trained crew\, a timing hose and marker\, and a clock – mercilessly accurate. A rally checkpoint. Early OR late across this baby gets you a penalty. We tell you at the start when you have to cross each checkpoint. Can you find each of them in time? Can you cross with a zero penalty? \nThe Lost Highway 2018 will cover many of our favorite rally roads\, along with a few roads we’ve haven’t been on in a long time. It should be a great drive. Paved roads only and no special equipment required. All licensed vehicles are welcome. \nOnly 3 groups on this one – novice\, regular\, and expert. Although simple for novice\, it will challenging for regular and particularly expert groups.  Two  people minimum per car (Driver and Navigator) and the event will run rain or shine! \nEntry is $20 per car.

SUMMARY:MO: VCRA All Stars for Autism Vintage Car Rally
DESCRIPTION:The 2018 13th Annual VCRA All Stars for Autism Vintage Car Rally has finalized the schedule for May 16th thru 20th\, 2018 and will be returning to Joplin. Missouri. \nIf you are a rookie team (have never been in a Great Race\, Coker Challenge\, Northeast Rally or VCRA rally) then you will have a special Greenhorn Class entry option. Why do we offer this? Generally\, the teams that intend on entering the current year Great Race as a rookie have no idea about “How to Rally” or “What to Expect”. \nAs a part of this event\, VCRA offers an in depth rally school that will prove invaluable to a Rookie (Greenhorn) team! You will also have the opportunity to rally with\, ask questions of\, and be instructed by the top rally teams in the USA. We also have a “What The #### Went Wrong” class after the first day’s rally. Ask any veteran team..they will tell you…This is a “ Must Do” for any rookie team! Note:  It is also a must do for most Veteran teams also as they use this to sharpen their skills for the upcoming rally season! We will traditionally have many past Championship teams as well as the top teams from across the nation in attendance.   \nThe rally will consist of a short “Practice” rally\, then two full days of rally competition\, and then one championship half day run. The “Veteran” or experienced “Rookie” teams will generally be running in the “Dash For Cash” classes. Others may opt for the “Open Class’ as it is for those wishing to merely test their rally skills. No matter the class\, you will all run the same course and be scored in the same manner. \nWill you have fun??  VCRA makes sure you have a great experience with each evening offering the now famous “hosted evening reception” to assure your pleasure. A “Welcome Luncheon” and an “Awards Luncheon” is included in the entry. VCRA pays out the largest cash prizes vs entry fee than any other rally in the country. And the hotel has committed to an excellence that they do live up to! \nAs we further develop the rally course\, we will keep you updated. One thing is for sure and we guarantee this — You will have fun\, you will learn\, and you will make lifetime friends!!!  There are no better folks on earth than then old car rally family…join us for the experience of a lifetime!!! \nStay tuned for more info! We look forward to seeing you\, and should you have any questions just call or e-mail.
