SUMMARY:WI: Kettle Moraine Colors Tour Rallye
DESCRIPTION:Join your fellow car enthusiasts for this five-hour\, 110-mile time-speed-distance road rally\, presented by the SCCA Milwaukee Region on Saturday\, October 30th. You and a partner (teams are a Driver and Navigator) will be issued a set of Route Instructions that will take you on a scenic journey through the marvelous country roads in the southern Kettle Moraine Forest area of Wisconsin. The Kettle Moraine is a ‘Tour’ type rally\, and there are no traps or tricks – drive\, enjoy the great roads and marvelous scenery and try to arrive at each checkpoint at precisely the right time. It is designed especially for people with little or no rally experience. \n\n\n\nCheckpoints will be set up along the way to monitor how well you are following the assigned average speeds.  \n\n\n\nIMPORTANT: This rally uses automatic scoring and GPS checkpoints. Contestants need to use a smart device (phone or tablet) during the rally\, running the Richta competitor app. Automated scoring happens as your car passes a checkpoint location\, and the app will display your score immediately. Please download the app from the Playstore (Android) or Apple Store (Apple). You’ll find more information upon registration\, so click here and register today! \n\n\n\nAwards will be presented to the teams who do the best job of arriving at the checkpoints at the precise times.  \n\n\n\nStart and finish location: Nagawaukee Shopping Center near Kohl’s\, just north of I-94 at the Highway 83 exit.  \n\n\n\nCost: $40.00/car\, a minimum of two people per car is required\, but you may have up to four people per car. \n\n\n\nPre-registration is required for this event\, so register today! SUMMARY:NY: Route of All Evil Road Rally...All in Good Time and Deceptive Bends for 2021
DESCRIPTION:A short message from Rallymaster Extraordinaire Frank Beyer (aka Dr. Devio) about the 2021 Route of All Evil Weekend — this year\, there will be two Regional Route(s) of All Evil: All in Good Time on Saturday\, October 30th and Deceptive Bends on Sunday\, October 31st. You can run one or both! \n\n\n\nExpect a couple of things to be missing from my turn as a Rallymaster for the Finger Lakes Region: darkness and snow (probably). The fields are limited to 30 cars each. Early registration is now open to cars with at least one full-time SCCA member. \n\n\n\nBoth courses feature smooth paved and unpaved roads; no car-breakers. Saturday’s route is about 190 miles long and Sunday’s about 175 miles. Speeds will be appropriately brisk for the roads and conditions. The Route and General Instructions are straightforward\, but you’ll need to stay alert and be ready to react to the situations presented. I expect you’ll rack up a bunch of zeros but you’ll work for them. Timing will be done with the Competitor – Richta GPS Checkpoints\, using your smartphone in your car. \n\n\n\nCLASSES for the 2021 Route of All Evil:  \n\n\n\n(E)quipped – no restriction on equipment. SUMMARY:MN: Land 'O Lakes Minnesota Valley Winter Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Minnesota Valley Winter Rally is a Regularity Rally run in the Minnesota Valley near Henderson and Le Sueur. The course traverses the Valleys along the Minnesota river taking advantage of the elevation changes and natural twisty roads in the valleys.  \n\n\n\nNo special equipment is needed other than a smartphone with built-in GPS. A free app is available from your favorite app store. The app not only provides the timing but also provides a digital roadbook similar to the one used at Dakar in 2021. The app also does all calculations for you so that you always know if you are on time.  \n\n\n\nFor those without a smartphone or their own navigation systems\, we have SmartControl devices to do the timing. \n\n\n\nWe suggest you use the Tabbit Rally app to run this event. DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Detroit Region’s Son of Sno*Drift Road Rally\, now in its 24th year\, is a straightforward Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) Great Lakes Division Tour event\, meaning no traps!  \n\n\n\nUsing the Richta GPS Checkpoint app for scoring\, the 185± mile route travel mostly unpaved roads in Washtennaw\, Jackson and Livingston counties.  \n\n\n\nSon of Sno*Drift is expected to be a challenge to the driver\, navigator and vehicle. Suitable tires and nighttime driving lights are recommended. Snow extraction equipment is also a wise idea. DESCRIPTION:The Cannon River Winter Rally is a Regularity Rally run in the Cannon River Valley. Sanctioned by the SCCA Land O’Lakes Region\, the course traverses the Valleys along the Cannon river taking advantage of the elevation changes and natural twisty roads in the valleys.  \n\n\n\nNo special equipment is needed other than a smart phone with built in GPS. A free app is available from your favorite app store. The app not only provides the timing but also provides a digital roadbook similar to the one used at Dakar in 2021 and 2022. The app also does all calculations for you so that you always know if you are on time.  \n\n\n\nFor those without a smartphone or their own navigation systems we have SmartControl devices to do the timing. We suggest you use the Rabbit Rally app to run this event. It’s a Rally Computer app that does all the work for you to stay on time. \n\n\n\nRabbit Rally Info \n\n\n\nThe rally starts and ends in Cannon River\, MN. at Dan’s Bar and Grill. Entry fee is $40/car. SUMMARY:CA: Ron Dunlop Memorial Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a fun and exciting car road rally celebrating the life of Ron Dunlop\, a great guy and a tremendous rally organizer and competitor\, on Saturday\, March 19\, 2022. The Ron Dunlop Memorial Rally\, sponsored by the Into the Night Rally Team\, is sanctioned as an SCCA Divisional Tour Rally and will explore the amazing Wine Country backroads around Santa Barbara and Santa Maria. \n\n\n\nRallymaster Paul McGaffey’s Route Instructions will use a simple Monte Carlo format\, meaning you get turn-by-turn directions\, AND you will get your target time at each Checkpoint. All Timed Checkpoints are listed in the Route Instructions\, and all are referenced by prominent signs on the course. The rally is a little over 200 miles long\, and you will have seven hours of driving nirvana with many breaks for gas\, food\, and rest stops. \n\n\n\nThe object of this event is to enjoy driving sweeping\, beautiful\, challenging back roads at legal speeds while following simple directions to pass a series of checkpoints at just the right time.  \n\n\n\nThere is no need for advanced math\, no riddles\, compasses\, maps\, or gimmicks\, just glorious roads to drive with a focus on precision and accuracy. Rallying is a team sport; the Driver and Navigator must work together to get it right. \n\n\n\nThere are no average speeds. Just run at the posted speed limits (rally is timed at least two mph BELOW those limits and has pauses where needed). If you reach a timed Checkpoint early\, you can pull over\, get out of traffic lanes\, and either creep in or wait for your target time to pass by the Checkpoint. \n\n\n\nWe will be using the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring. This app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone or appropriate tablet. Go to the App Store\, Google Play Store\, or direct to https://richtarally.com/ and download it. There is no need for additional timing equipment; your Official Time shows in the app! \n\n\n\nWe’ve designed it to be EV-friendly. There are five stations and a Tesla Dealership near the Start in Camarillo\, five near the lunch break in Santa Maria\, two fast-charging stations\, and a Tesla Supercharger in the parking lot at the Finish in Goleta.  \n\n\n\nPlease register online here at MotorsportsReg. The registration fee is $60 per car\, with a $15 discount for SCCA members. You may still register in person at the Start. (Sorry\, but we will not be able to accept credit cards at Registration. Please use the MSR website to pay by credit card.) Both Driver and Navigator are required to complete the Waiver. To save time for both you and us at the Start\, we ask you to please enter your cell phone number where indicated near the bottom of the registration page\, and please check the ‘yes’ button just below that. Speedwaiver will send you a text\, and you follow their directions to use your phone to complete the Waiver. \n\n\n\nWe start at the Mcdonald’s rear lot. In-person Registration opens at 9:00 am; there is a beginner/Richta GPS meeting at 9:40 am\, and the first car out at 10:01 am. Yet we encourage you to Pre-Register so that we can have ample copies of the Route Instructions! \n\n\n\nThe finish will be at Camino Real Marketplace (near Starbucks)\, 7030 Market Place Dr\, Goleta\, CA 93117. SUMMARY:WI: Escape To Wisconsin RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:Escape to Wisconsin\, sanctioned by the SCCA Land ‘o Lakes Region\, is our traditional first rally of the Summer Season. It runs mostly in Pierce County Wi. There are many fun roads and almost all paved roads are used to avoid any Spring mud. \n\n\n\nNo special equipment is needed other than a smartphone with built-in GPS. A free app (Rabbit Rally 2) is available from your favorite app store. The app not only provides the timing but also provides a digital roadbook similar to the one used at Dakar in 2021. The app does all calculations for you so that you always know if you are on time. We suggest you use the Rabbit Rally app to run this event.  \n\n\n\nFor those without a smartphone or wishing to use their own navigation systems\, we have SmartControl devices to do the timing. \n\n\n\nWe will be sending out printed material (such as the Roadbook) the week before the rally. SUMMARY:WI: Milwaukee Region Spring Scamper RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The Milwaukee Region of the Sports Car Club of America invites you to join us for the Spring Scamper car rally on Sunday\, April 3\, 2022\, in Madison\, Wisconsin. This 120-mile\, 5-hour Tour-type rally (no traps) will take you and your rally partner (driver and navigator) on a scenic adventure through the rural countryside roads south of Madison. You’ll have lunch in New Glarus (home to Spotted Cow) and then an afternoon break in Monroe\, WI. The rally course features new roads that haven’t been used on previous rallies.  \n\n\n\nWe’ll be using the Checkpoint – Richta GPS app for timing and scoring. This app will run on your smartphone (it’s required that you bring one) and will announce your score immediately at each checkpoint. You can use this instant feedback to learn how to improve your scores as the rally progresses. \n\n\n\nThis year’s Spring Scamper will be a charity event for the Dane County Humane Society. Your entry fee will help this wonderful organization continue to find ‘furever’ homes for hundreds of pets every year. Here’s a link to their website where you can see the list of animals that are currently available for adoption. \n\n\n\nRegistration for Spring Scamper is now open online at msreg.com/DCHS. You do not need to be a member of SCCA to run. Any street-legal car is eligible. The cost is $20/per person ($40/per car). All you need is a smartphone and a rally partner. SUMMARY:NH: NER Seacoast Scramble Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Seacoast Scramble Road Rally is a 150 +/- mile TSD Road Rally\, sanctioned by the SCCA New England Region\, that uses a combination of Written Route Instructions\, Tulip Diagrams\, and basic navigation skills. The route will begin in Farmington\, NH\, head into Maine\, and back to New Hampshire. The Seacoast Scramble uses a mixture of paved and unpaved roadways. \n\n\n\nThe Rally will start with a traditional check-in with Registration\, followed by a brief Drivers’ meeting. All Checkpoints\, Timing & Scoring will utilize the Checkpoint – Richta GPS App along the brisk rally route with short stops and a mid-rally fuel/lunch break. For most of the day\, the Driver and Co-driver are in a car and moving along the course. \n\n\n\nThis event is in honor of the Rallymasters’ father\, Paul Poor Sr\, who passed shortly before last year’s inaugural event. If he had been able to participate\, he would have left with a memory\, which would have become a story he would have told for years and years to come. And Twilight Tour\, coming up on Saturday\, April 16 is just the rally to do that. Traversing ~150 miles of tasty back roads in Washtenaw and surrounding counties\, Twilight Tour is a straightforward time-speed-distance rally with no tricks or traps. Twilight Tour has been missed the past couple of seasons because of the pandemic\, and the SCCA Detroit Region is glad to have its return. It will be entertaining for the novice and experienced teams alike\, and Rallymaster Ken Wiedbusch always works hard to make sure his route instructions are clear and correct. \n\n\n\nEntry fees (per car): $45 for SCCA membersNon-members need to apply for a weekend membership. The cost is $15 per team if neither team member is an SCCA member.   \n\n\n\nAll entries must be done online.
