After a one-year break, due to Covid-19 concerns, The Great Race is returning June 19-27th, as teams from San Antonio, Texas, to Greenville, South Carolina, the original route planned for the 2020 event.
History of the Original Great American Mountain Rallye 1953-1957 The flag dropped on the first GAMR on Thanksgiving Day of 1953, and the rally continued every November through 1957.
