This time\, the SCCA Finger Lakes Region will visit Orbakers Drive-in\, see all the apple orchards\, pass Orbakers Farm Stand\, cruise by the lake\, and return to the drive-in again. Join us for some fun. Feel free to bring your lowered Miata for this all-paved road rally! \n\n\n\nThe Do It Again is a regularity contest as follows: You follow the course\, maintaining speeds below the posted speed limit. As you follow the route\, you will be timed at unknown locations. All checkpoints will be closed (you do not stop at them). The course is approximately 30 miles and should take about 55minutes to complete. Teams will repeat the course route at 3:00 + car #. Checkpoint signs will be out where the cars are timed again for the second time around the route. Your score will be how close to the minute and hundredths is to the time you passed on the first loop. The team that collects and turns in the most donations will receive a special award. \n\n\n\nBecause this is a charity event meant for fun rather than serious competition\, the only limitation to the number of occupants in a vehicle is that the total number of occupants per vehicle cannot exceed the number of seat belts available. Appropriate waivers must be completed and signed at registration for all occupants. For teams with more than two adults (over age 18)\, it is suggested that\, in the spirit of the charity nature of the event\, an additional monetary donation be made for each additional adult at registration. \n\n\n\nStart/Finish: Palmer Motorsports Park\, Palmer\, MA. Of course\, being The New Hope Automobile Show\, we encourage people to bring their classic cars\, but your everyday car will work just fine. The cost is $60 per car. \n\n\n\nThis year\, we have a very special Road Rally. After you’ve answered all the clues along the route\, you’ll find yourself in one of Bucks County’s most beautiful parks. We invite you to pack a picnic lunch before leaving home. There will not be any places along the route to purchase lunch. You may not bring alcohol into the park. It’s the law. At the park\, there will be a pavilion where you can sit to eat\, or bring a blanket or lawn chairs and spread out on the ground. \n\n\n\nWelcome SCCAThis year\, we’re again teaming up with the Philadelphia Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). Each car is allowed as many people as there are seatbelts in the vehicle\, but it is recommended that each car have at least two people\, a Driver and a Navigator\, such that teams can participate in the optional quizzes that will be provided at each checkpoint. Along the way\, participants will have the opportunity to answer questions to provide some entertainment for the passengers. The idea is to have some fun with your car and gather for a social event at the end.  \n\n\n\n2. COURSE FOLLOWINGAt check-in\, participants will be given an envelope that contains the first checkpoint’s name and street address\, along with a few questions that we encourage you to answer related to things you should see along that leg of the rally. Participants will enter the checkpoint address into their GPS or cell phone and follow the instructions it states to reach the destination. This is not a timed event\, and you must obey all local posted traffic laws – including the speed limits! If you are given a citation for any reason while participating\, your entry will be disqualified and no scores provided.  \n\n\n\n3. RALLY LEGSThe rally has six total legs. At each checkpoint\, the participants will select a card from a deck of cards\, and be provided with a new envelope containing the next checkpoint’s name and address\, along with a new set of questions for that leg. The entrant enters the newly provided street address into their GPS and continues on. It is encouraged that the questions provided are read prior to leaving the checkpoint as you never know when the answers may appear!  \n\n\n\n4. SCORINGAs this event is a “poker run”\, the participant’s “poker hand” will determine the winner. In the event of a tie\, the total number of correct answers to the questions will be used as the tiebreaker.  \n\n\n\n5. SAFETYPlease drive carefully. Obey the speed limit at all times. Anyone receiving a citation of any kind will be disqualified. All roads used are paved and open to the public. The Heck’s and Back GTA RoadRally is a question-and-answer Divisional Rally that will traverse some scenic back roads in Berks County\, many of which will feature hex signs common in the area. Rallymasters Bruce Gezon and Clyde Heckler have designed a course that features some questions containing a few tricks (traps) to separate the scores.  \n\n\n\nWe offer two classes: Experienced (team members have run five or more rallies combined) and Novice.  There will be awards (hex sign themed) for first and second in Experienced\, and first through third for Novice entries.     \n\n\n\nOur route will cover approximately 70 miles\, and you will have 4 hours to complete it. The route is totally paved\, so there are no worries about dirt/rocks. \n\n\n\nAfter you register\, approximately two weeks before the event\, you will receive general instructions explaining the rules for the rally\, how to follow the course\, a glossary of terms included in the route instructions\, scoring\, etc.  General instructions will also eventually be available on this webpage.  \n\n\n\nStart:Saucony Creek Brewery Company + Gastropub in Kutztown\, PA.    \n\n\n\nSchedule of Events:10:30 am Registration opens at Saucony Creek Brewing Company + Gastropub.  \n\n\n\nPlease park in the parking lot to the left of the outdoor patio as you enter the parking lot (not in the front). The non-member fee includes a $ 15-weekend membership fee\, which includes a $15 coupon toward Annual Membership if redeemed within 60 days. \n\n\n\nCars must be in working order and be insured with an auto insurance policy with liability limits of not less than $20\,000 /$40\,000/$10\,000 (no exceptions). Bring your friends\, family\, or coworkers and form a team to decipher clues\, find Waypoints\, and win a prize at this super fun\, family-friendly event! A Road Rally is a fun game played in the local area! Teams will be given clues that must be deciphered to find their way to certain locations. Once a team has found all 10 locations (and take their photo at our Waypoint Markers)\, they will return to the start – the first team to get back with all 10 photos wins!  \n\n\n\nThe PartyThroughout the course of the Road Rally\, we will be hosting a fun faire and BBQ that is open to the public! Vendors\, games\, food and more will be available and all proceeds will go toward helping shelter cats and kittens with food\, litter\, and vet care as they look for their forever homes! Whether you are here to play or here to compete\, this party is sure to be a ton of fun!  \n\n\n\nThe TeamsThis event is family friendly so all ages are welcome to join! Form your team with friends\, family\, and coworkers and grab your car! Entry fee is $10 per person and teams can consist of however many people fit safely in your vehicle! Dress the part because we will have a Prize for the team with the most spirit! Teams will also be encouraged to fundraise before the event for our feline friends! The highest donating team will win a special prize so get ready to roll and you might just be the winner! \n\n\n\nThe GoalOur hope is to raise a total of $50\,000 – all of which will go toward the care of our cats! Every penny counts and every penny will go toward the cost of care and veterinary assistance for our shelter kitties. Did you know that a vet exam alone costs upwards of $150 per cat? Spay and neuters costs over $200 and vaccines nearly $150! It’s not easy keeping this many cats happy and healthy and we need your help to ensure they have all they need throughout the summer! It is our goal to hit this number and we know we can do it with your help!  \n\n\n\nHow to Get InvolvedWe are on the hunt for Vendors\, Sponsors\, and Teams to make this Rally the best it can be!
