SUMMARY:NC: Cedar Mountain Rotary Fundraiser Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Cedar Mountain Rotary is planning their Inaugural Road Rally for Saturday\, Oct. 9\, as part of a fundraiser for Rise & Shine.  \n\n\n\nThe objective of the rally is for a team of two\, a driver and a navigator\, to use a set of clues to reach designated points of interest in Transylvania County and Pickens County. The date was selected to take advantage of the scenic beauty of the area in the fall season. Those taking part will be asked to answer questions in the clues and take pictures of the designated points to score “points.” It is much like a scavenger hunt but on wheels.  \n\n\n\nThe starting and ending points will be at Oskar Blues Brewery\, with rally teams being sent out in two directions over the same course. We will award the teams with the most points prizes at the end. SUMMARY:MA: Cape Cod Courageous Old Timers Rally GTA Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA New England Region’s Cape Cod Courageous GTA Road Rally\, the “scavenger hunt” of Cape Cod is a low-pressure event. You will be supplied with a map and clues to locations all over the Cape.The object is to determine from the clues where these locations are on the map\, plan the shortest route to those locations and\, once at the location\, answer the question(s)\, and do so driving the fewest miles possible. Each two person team chooses its own pace.The distance traveled will be at least 120 miles. Above all it is hoped that you will have FUN and maybe learn some things about the Cape. \n\n\n\nCheck-In/Registration:  Saturday\, October 16\, in the parking lot at the rear of the International House of Pancakes (IHOP) in Hyannis\, MA\, between 730 and 930 AM. After completing check-in/registration and the odometer check\, you will receive your map and clues\, at which point you can begin the rally. \n\n\n\nEntry fee: $50.00 for SCCA members and past Old Timers’ Rally participants\, if received by October 9\, 2021.(Note: NO entries the day of the rally). $60.00 for non-SCCA members\, non-past participants\, and all late entries. Please allow enough time for us to receive mail entries no later than October 14\, 2021\, as we will not have access to postal mail after that date. \n\n\n\nNote: Rally teams usually consist of one driver and one navigator. PLEASE\, no more than three adults (individuals over 12) per rally car. \n\n\n\nAlso\, remember\, this is a low-tech-event. Use of GPS\, computers and other Internet connectable devices (PDAs\, Smartphones\, Tablets\, etc.) to locate or answer questions OR to plot the shortest route between questions is NOT allowed.

DESCRIPTION:It’s time for another CATS Rally. This year it is a charity rally benefiting the Westmoreland Land Trust\, and the SCCA Steel Cities Region sanctions the event. Starting in Greensburg\, PA\, the 66-mile rally will run through beautiful fall foliage enveloped scenic roads in the Laurel Highlands as you attempt to find the correct answer to Rallymaster Bruce Gezon’s often devious questions. Complimentary breakfast items will be available at the registration barn. Members of the Laurel Highlands British Car Club will display their cars before the start of the rally. Following the mid-afternoon finish\, you will find food trucks for your pleasure while results are being tabulated. The local folk music group\, The NewLanders\, will provide entertainment. \n\n\n\nAwards will be presented to both Experienced and Inexperienced teams. You will need to decide which category you fall in and register accordingly. Marque awards will also be presented\, donated by some of our sponsors. There is another separate non-SCCA rally for first-timers that will be less challenging. DESCRIPTION:Join us this Fall to help us celebrate 70 years of the Texas Region SCCA with a fun-packed weekend of National-level RoadRally on North Texas country roads. \n\n\n\nHere’s what Rick Beattie wrote about the 2019 ONTO Fall National GTA Rally: “The General Instructions described many things like numbered route instruction\, main road determinants\, and course following rules that made it more of an untimed National Course Rally.” Winner Bruce Gezon described it as “really hard\, but nevertheless the best Course Rally he had run that year.” Jerry White described the traps as “just plain fun.” Rallymaster Witt will send you the Generals\, RI’s\, and detailed descriptions of the traps and loops from the 2019 GTA if you email her at lizwitt@yahoo.com. \n\n\n\nWe’re going to do it again with a course-following GTA and a Course Rally. On some of the best rally roads around\, mainly in Collin County. And Texas is usually beautiful in October. \n\n\n\nONTO Fall National Course Rally: Saturday will be a 180-mile course-following rally through the countryside on rural Texas’ beautiful\, paved roads. And with a grand tour of the town of Farmersville\, home of Audie Murphy. Designed for the experienced rallyist\, it will have variable Main Road Rule priorities\, and both numbered and lettered Route Instructions. Additionally\, some of the numbered instructions will have a choice of actions. Speeds will be moderate with the generous use of Free Zones. The Richta app will time you. \n\n\n\nONTO Fall National GTA Rally: The Saturday GTA Rally is also course-following and has many of the same traps as the Course Rally. But it has no lettered instructions\, so many of the traps are implemented differently. You will be scored by your answers to questions designed to determine if you followed the correct course and/or applied the rules correctly. \n\n\n\nPre-registration on MSReg.com is recommended – registration opens July 1st. SUMMARY:Lone Star Region Christmas Tree Social Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:To initiate the 2021 Christmas season and to assist people to get out of the house after this past year\, the Lone Star Region of SCCA is sponsoring a Christmas Tree Social Road Rally to the Seiler Christmas Tree Farm south of Seguin. This rally will start from Bluebonnet Jeep on Interstate 35 East in New Braunfels and will wind through south Central Texas to the Tree Farm.  \n\n\n\nAlong the way\, we will travel on state\, rural\, and country roads. These roads are paved but many do not have center stripes. This is a non-speed event but you will be given historical notes along the route and you will be asked to answer questions about the route at various points. At the Seiler Christmas Tree Farm\, you may buy the Christmas tree of your choice or just enjoy the scenery. Trees are four to nine feet in height and sell for $6.00 per foot. The Rally will then leave the tree farm and continue to Kirby’s Korner in Sequin to enjoy their famous burgers and malts and to discuss cars and the rally. \n\n\n\nThis is a non-speed social Road Rally whose route will be along paved roads although some have not been paved very recently. Registration between 1:00 and 2:00 PM will be at Bluebonnet Jeep so come early and look over their fine vehicles. After a safety briefing at 1:45\, cars will be released at intervals to proceed on their scenic journey. It should take between 90 minutes and two hours for this Road Rally as you learn about the history of Central Texas. Questions will be asked along the way but awards will not be based on questions or on a car’s finish position.  \n\n\n\nThis Road Rally is meant to be a fun social outing and a learning event. Children are welcome but insurance requires that they have a waiver signed by both parents. SUMMARY:TX: Back-to-Basics RoadRally Series #1 - Generals\, RI's and Questions
DESCRIPTION:In 2022\, in addition to rallies that we have put on regularly in recent years (e.g.\, Sweetheart Ride\, Tick-Tock\, DFW Map\, Children’s Book Run)\, the Texas Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) will be conducting a series of road rallies and schools.  \n\n\n\nThe Region is designing these to introduce rallying to newcomers and refresh and reinforce key concepts for our more experienced rallyists. This “Back-to-Basics” series will consist of four events of progressive challenge levels staged over several months. These will be SCCA GTA (Games\, Tours\, Adventures) Social Rallies\, about 45-60 miles and 2 ½ – 3 hours long. We will score them and present awards to the most successful. The objective is to conduct events in accordance with the SCCA RoadRally Rules\, starting with simple rules and instructions. Then each succeeding rally will introduce more advanced topics. \n\n\n\nThere will be a virtual Road Rally School\, six days before each rally\, where we will present the rules and instructions for that rally\, demonstrate “how-to\,” and go through applicable examples. SUMMARY:LA: Red River Region Gimmick Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Do you want to do something fun with your car that doesn’t involve speed and won’t cost you much money? For the first time in over a decade\, the Red River Region is holding a road rally. Mark your calendars for Sunday\, February 20th. We’ll gather at the old VF Outlets Mall in Arcadia at 9:00 am. \n\n\n\nAs long as it’s registered\, licensed\, and road-worthy\, any vehicle may be used. Each team must have at least a Driver and a Navigator. One of them must be an SCCA member — either an Annual Member or a Weekend Member\, and everyone else in the vehicle needs to be at least a Trial Member. You’ll need to show your Driver’s license and proof of insurance at Registration. You’ll also need something to write with and a clipboard or some other solid object to use as a ‘desk.’ \n\n\n\nA rally is a non-speed event\, driven on regular roads and obeying all traffic laws. The object is to see how close you can follow directions and how well you can answer questions along the way. You’ll be assigned a number at Registration\, and your starting mileage will be recorded.  \n\n\n\nFollowing a short Drivers’ meeting\, at which you’ll be given the route directions\, you’ll be sent out at two-minute intervals. Your starting time will be recorded. When you return\, your arrival time and ending mileage will be recorded. You’ll also turn in your answer sheet.This will be a very simple ‘gimmick’ rally designed to introduce you to rallying and see if there’s enough interest and participation to re-start the active rally program that we used to have. It’s a great way to have some fun with your car when we’re not autocrossing.Entry fees: $10 for SCCA Members and $20 for Weekend Members

DESCRIPTION:The Texas Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) invites you to join us at Logan’s Roadhouse for Jerry White’s annual Valentine’s Day-themed road rally. It will be about a 90-mile drive on some of the scenic hard surfaced country roads in the Brazos River Valley in Parker\, Hood\, and Palo Pinto Counties. No prior rally experience or SCCA membership is necessary. \n\n\n\nThe challenge is to see how many correct puzzle solutions (many with a sweetheart theme) you can find based on signs and objects along the rally route. Puzzles can have from zero (0) to four (4) correct solutions. One (1) penalty point is awarded for each findable puzzle solution you miss marking as found and one (1) is awarded for each solution you mark as found when it didn’t exist or in some way was not a correct solution. Low score wins. There will never be more than one puzzle active at a time. Think of it as a visual scavenger hunt. \n\n\n\nGoogle Forms will be used to display the route instructions and puzzles and to collect and score you and your sweetheart’s/navigator’s solutions. To use a Google Form\, you will need a browser on a smartphone\, tablet\, or laptop computer to connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi or cellular data.  \n\n\n\nIn addition\, you will need a separate smartphone to run the Richta GPS Competitor app. It will use GPS signals and a minor amount of cellular data to monitor your time and course and tell you when to stop working on a puzzle and/or prepare to do the next route instruction. SUMMARY:MA: Cape Cod Courageous Old Timers' Rally
DESCRIPTION:This “scavenger hunt” of Cape Cod is a low-pressure event. Teams will be supplied with a map and clues to locations all over the Cape. The object is to determine from the clues where these locations are on the map\, plan the shortest route to those locations and\, once at the location\, answer the question(s) and do so by driving the fewest miles possible. Each two-person team chooses its own pace. The distance traveled will be at least 120 miles. Above all\, SCCA New England Region hopes you will have FUN and maybe learn some things about the Cape. \n\n\n\nCheck-In/Registration: Between 7:30 am and 9:30 am. After completing check-in/registration and the odometer check\, you will receive your map and clues\, at which point you can begin the rally. \n\n\n\nEntry Fee: $50.00 per car for SCCA members and past Old Timers’ Rally participants if received by March 31\, 2022. (Note: NO entries on the day of the rally). $60.00 per car for non-SCCA members\, non-past participants\, and late entries. Please allow enough time for us to receive mail entries no later than March 31\, 2022\, as we will not have access to postal mail after that date. \n\n\n\nNote: Rally teams usually consist of one Driver and one Navigator. SUMMARY:OH: Tiptoe Thru the Tulips Two Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Join the SCCA Cincinnati Region on Saturday\, April 23rd\, for the Tiptoe Thru the Tulips Road Rally\, a part of the Cincinnati Regional Series. Jim Knepper is the Rallymaster for this GTA rally. It is not a precisely timed event\, and no calculations are necessary. Questions that can be answered along the route will provide scoring opportunities. You do not have to be a member to be eligible to earn points. A separate\, non-competitive\, question-free option is available for this drive.  \n\n\n\nPre-registration is strongly encouraged to ensure a place and to facilitate social distancing at on-site check-in. SUMMARY:MI: Metamora Road Rally Scavenger Hunt
DESCRIPTION:The Metamora Lioness Lions will hold a Road Rally Scavenger Hunt on Saturday\, April 30. Start and finish are the Metamora Lions Hall\, 3790 N. Oak St. in Metamora. Arrive at 5:30 PM for a 6 PM start. The rally finish is at 10 p.m. \n\n\n\nThe road rally allows participants to test their GPS skills\, answer questions\, solve riddles\, and capture pictures/items along the designated route. The road rally is composed of a series of encrypted messages that need to be solved. Once understood\, each message will direct teams to drive to a specific location where they must find the answer to a question. Each correct answer is worth points. The most points win. \n\n\n\nDrinks and snacks will be provided at the hall from 9-11:30 p.m. Alcohol is BYOB at the after-party. Prizes will be awarded to first\, second and third-place finishers. \n\n\n\nThe maximum is four people per vehicle. Must be 21 to attend. \n\n\n\nAll proceeds will go to the Metamora community through partner charities Leader Dogs for the Blind and Bear Lake Camp. \n\n\n\nEarly registration is $30 per person. DESCRIPTION:The 33rd Annual Get the Dust-Off Rallye will be held on Sunday\, May 1st\, 2022\, and is co-hosted by the SCCA Washington DC Region and MG’s of Baltimore! It will start and finish at Dejon Vineyards! This will be a straightforward Time-Speed-Distance Monte Carlo-style rally of approximately 60 competitive miles\, with no unpaved sections. Timing will be scored to one-one hundredth of a minute (.01). Our 2022 Get the Dust Off Rallye will have no unpaved sections.  \n\n\n\nCLASSES: All vehicles are welcome. Classes will be provided for Historic up to 1981 and modern 1982 and later\, for this Seat-of-the-Pants Rallye (let’s not get too serious about this and have fun). Awards will be based on the number of entrants per class. \n\n\n\nSTART & FINISH: Dejon Vineyards. Bring along your picnic basket lunch and tailgating supplies. SUMMARY:PA: Monopoly Redux VI GTA Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Steel Cities Region\, SCCA (western Pennsylvania area) will host its End of Summer Showcase Festival (an ‘all things SCCA’ event) on Saturday\, August 27th\, is the Monopoly Red VI RoadRally. In addition to other SCCA activities such as an autocross\, road races\, and time trials\, there will be a road rally.  \n\n\n\nThe 50 mile\, approximately three-hour afternoon event will start and finish at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Wampum\, PA\, just off the Pennsylvania Turnpike Beaver Valley Exit 13\, 45 miles north of Pittsburgh\, PA. \n\n\n\nLike many SportsCar Club of America RoadRally events\, this one will use fun-to-drive paved\, public\, lightly traveled country roads. You will travel below the speed limit searching for the correct signs to move tokens around the Monopoly Game board. The winning team will be the one coming closest to the correct trip around the board. The event will wind its way through tall forests and small towns\, over streams and past large farms north and east of the start. \n\n\n\nNo rally experience or equipment is necessary but you will need a legal car\, a licensed Driver and a Navigator. The entry fee is $30 per car\, and only one member of the team needs an SCCA membership. SUMMARY:PA: Catch 22 - Puzzles and Conundrums
DESCRIPTION:Update October 20th — Fifty-six teams and two buses puzzled their way through some of Adams County most beautiful roads on Saturday\, October 15. A great time was had by all as we drove past 19 preserved properties over 48 miles\, and competed and learned at three fun-filled stops. The Land Conservancy of Adams County has already set Saturday\, October 21st\, 2023 for their 25th Anniversary edition next year.  \n\n\n\n√. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEach year the Land Conservancy of Adams County organizes a Road Rally over lesser-traveled routes in the region. This year\, the 24th Annual Land Conservancy Fall Classic Road Rally\, features a meandering drive through rural Adams County\, highlighting vistas and scenic roads that showcase our beautiful countryside.  \n\n\n\nOn October 15\, Road Rally teams will be delighted and confused as they meander through Adams County on roads less traveled. Teams will be challenged with paradoxical situations with no apparent way out. It’s a logical conundrum where circumstances feed each other and bring you back to square 1. \n\n\n\nWhat came first the chicken or the egg? \n\n\n\n Catch 22 – Puzzles and Conundrums is a fundraiser for LCAC that often leaves participants amazed and with a newfound appreciation for the landscape around us.
