SUMMARY:NY: Route of All Evil Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Rallymaster Frank Beyer (aka Dr Devio)\, wanted to share 50 years of going out to the backroads of Upstate New York to enjoy his car\, the countryside and rally friends. The Absolute Zero rally was held May 19th to serve as a refresher on rallying before rally computers and GPS\, when everyone ran SOP (seat of the pants).\nThe SCCA Central New York Region will sanction the Route of All Evil (Easier Said Than Done)\, based out of Norwich\, NY. 270 miles of brisk driving\, appropriate to the roads. In the tradition of the Covered Bridge Rally\, we’re using the Vermont Winter Challenge format: Section A has written instructions with some unique route situations\, where you’ll be challenged\, amused and on-course. Section B starts with a highlighted map and finishes with tulips and mileages. Section C is all tulips and mileages. \nTSD experience will be helpful. Standard Equipment Classes with a separate award for best finish using GPS. \nThis event will be by pre-registration only. SUMMARY:PA: Cat 22 Monopoly RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The Cat 22 Monopoly© RoadRally\, sanctioned by the SCCA Steel Cities Region\, may be run any of the five days at your leisure or on the afternoon of the 30th if you wish to see some of the other cars in competition. All answers must be submitted for those running leisurely by email before 11:00 am on the 30th. \n\n\n\nCat 22 Monopoly© Rally will run on approximately 50 miles of paved roads in Westmoreland County. Scenery is superb as you travel on many roads most of you will have never seen before. Each team (minimum of two people) will use their Route Instructions to follow the course and may drive at whatever legal speeds are comfortable for them. Three hours is allotted for completing the rally but it may take less time. You will observe signs and landmarks along the right hand side of the route to proceed around the Monopoly© game board and total up your money. Scores will be based upon the accuracy of your total at the end. \n\n\n\nRegistration: On Sunday\, December 30th\, registration opens at 12:30P\, located inside Panera Bread on US 22 in Murrysville\, PA. The rally will finish at the same location and Car#1 is anticipated back about 431P. Please thank the Panera Staff for their gracious hospitality in providing a gathering place. \n\n\n\nEntry Fees: The entry fee will be $30 per car\, with 50% of the funds going to the Autism Society of Pittsburgh. DESCRIPTION:Everyone feels great about giving during the holidays\, but what happens when we get into the depths of winter after the New Year? It’s cold\, it’s dark\, but people are still hungry. The SCCA Philadelphia Region says let’s break out some cars and drive for a good cause. The 2019 Food Drive Road Rally is limited to 15 teams. We maxed out of the last rally so sign up early! We absolutely will not be able to exceed the limit of entrants. \n\n\n\nThis charity road rally will take you through some amazing back roads in Montgomery and Berks Counties to help you scratch that driving itch that builds up during the offseason. Your entry fee will be 10 donation-appropriate food items. \n\n\n\nThis year’s beneficiary will be the Bucks County Housing Group. \n\n\n\nFOOD BANK DONATIONS NEEDED: \n\n\n\n\nProtein: Canned meats such as tuna\, chicken\, and salmon. Beans\, canned or dried. Split peas and lentils. Peanut butter.\n\n\n\nGrain: Pasta\, rice\, or quinoa. Oatmeal or breakfast cereals (whole grain or low sugar).\n\n\n\nDairy: Shelf stable milk\, non-fat dried powder milk\, or dry-grated Parmesan cheese.\n\n\n\nPrepared meals: Pasta sauces\, stews\, canned pasta\, baked beans\, or Mac & Cheese. Chunky soups.\n\n\n\nFruits: Canned fruit in its own juice or 100% fruit juice.\n\n\n\nVegetables: Especially carrots\, potatoes\, yams\, or tomatoes.\n\n\n\nBaking goods: Cake mix\, flour\, or sugar.\n\n\n\nFresh Produce that does not require refrigeration\, like onions\, garlic\, oranges\, carrots\, potatoes\, sweet potatoes\, apples\, pears\, or bananas.\n\n\n\nOther items: Olive oil\, canola oil\, broths\, lemon juice\, or vinegar. DESCRIPTION:The Oneonta Rotary Club has borrowed a clever fundraising idea that will keep people engaged in a fun activity this Sunday as Rotary holds their first Road Rally Scavenger Hunt Fundraiser on Sunday\, October 18th. \n\n\n\nCars must cross the finish line at the Quality Inn by 4:30 p.m. that day to be eligible for prizes. Teams will be judged on a combination of time\, mileage\, number of clues correctly answered and group photos. All teams are eligible for the Random Draw prize. Teams that dress in costume and/or decorate their cars are eligible to win a Spirit Award. Winners will be announced at the club meeting on October 22 and will be notified by phone. \n\n\n\nPrize winners receive a gas card or other automotive-themed gift certificate or item and the Oneonta Rotary Club will donate a mini-grant in your honor\, to the local community organization of your choice\, selected from the following: Catholic Charities Caring Connections\, Family Services Association\, Opportunities for Otsego Violence Intervention Program\, St. James Feeding Ministries which includes the Lord’s Table and the Loaves and Fishes Pantry\, St. Mary’s Church Food Pantry\, The Salvation Army Food Bank and Saturday’s Bread. Mini-grants range from $50 to $500. \n\n\n\nCost for the Road Rally is $25 for 18 years of age and older; $10 for 12-17; and free for under 12. Each team must consist of at least two adults. Participants will also have the option of purchasing a take home dinner from the Quality Inn which will donate 50% of sales to the Oneonta Rotary Club. \n\n\n\nProceeds from the event benefit the work of the Oneonta Rotary Club. Please note that to make sure that everyone has an enjoyable and safe experience\, all participants must wear a mask and practice appropriate social distancing when out of their vehicles.

DESCRIPTION:The annual Belleville Road Rally is this Saturday\, November 7th. \n\n\n\nSafety measures are being put in place to protect everyone from COVID. There will be NO large group gatherings. The only folks the majority of you will come in contact with are the members of your own car. Clues will only need to be picked up by one member of the car. Of all the stops\, only two are indoor and there will be no requirements to stay.  \n\n\n\nAs always\, if possible\, we ask that you patronize any business that you can – especially during these trying times. Additionally\, we request that masks be worn if you come in contact with anyone outside of your vehicle. As for game pieces – all cars will be provided a couple of pairs of latex gloves to use when grabbing each piece. \n\n\n\nSo pack your snacks\, charge your phones\, and meet in the Sugar River Lanes parking lot on Saturday morning. Just an all out puzzle quest. \n\n\n\nThe Famous Puzzler Rallye has drawn over 1000 participants since its inception and has donated over $25\,000 to worthwhile charities. We will continue that tradition and handover 90% of all proceeds to worthwhile charitable organizations from this year’s event.  \n\n\n\nYou solve a puzzle\, then drive to the point on the map with the corresponding number of the puzzle answer. Once there\, you look for hidden clues. The one that gets the most puzzles and clues correct wins! A first time rallyists won one year\, so everyone has a legitimate chance. \n\n\n\nThe Pre-Registration entry fee is $25 and is encouraged\, so click here and Register today! And we show them annually at The Christmas Light Tour Rallye\, a benefit for the USMC Toys for Tots. There will be two courses this year: West – Schaumburg\, and East – Lincolnwood. \n\n\n\nWhen? You can run this year’s The Christmas Light Tour Rallye at any time from the 12th of December until Christmas Day. Many teams will choose to run when there is a group on the night of December 12th\, yet you can participate when you please. \n\n\n\nSpectacular Houses! This event has\, in the past\, shown the most spectacular houses in the Schaumburg\, Hoffman Estates\, Elk Grove\, and Arlington Heights areas. We have more for you this year\, too\, as we have a second Tour you can run on the Eastern front to take in Lincolnwood\, Sauganash\, and Edgebrook.  \n\n\n\nSpecial Entry Fee for The Christmas Light Tour Rallye! Because it is a Charity Rally to benefit the USMC Toys for Tots\, the entry cost is $20 per vehicle. DESCRIPTION:From the riverreporter.com\n\n\n\nBETHANY\, PA — Have some fun on Saturday\, May 15 by taking a scenic drive in the country. \n\n\n\nUse your deductive powers to figure out a series of clues to 10 sites around central Wayne County. Follow a 60-mile circular route on scenic highways and backroads through rural countryside\, from the village of Bethany to the Delaware River\, and back again. And it’s all to benefit Bethany Public Library. \n\n\n\nThis fundraising event\, called Cruising for Clues\, is a cross between a scavenger hunt and a different kind of road rally. The cost to enter is $30 per car. \n\n\n\nRSVPs are requested no later than the day before the event\, Friday\, May 14. To RSVP\, call the Library at 570-253-4349. \n\n\n\nOn Saturday\, May 15\, registration and payment open at 8:15 and close at 9:30 a.m. at the Library. The first two cars depart at 8:30 a.m.\, and after that\, cars leave in 10-minute intervals until all participants are on the road. Snacks and water will be provided. SUMMARY:IL: Return of the G.O.A.T.S. Tour
DESCRIPTION:A number of years ago the Chicago Region SCCA held a tour-type rally to LaCrosse Wisconsin. Several of the entrants had their private radios with them to communicate with each other as we traversed the tour route. Conversation over the radios was minimal\, then suddenly the silence was broken! A voice came across the airways shouting “goats\, goats\, goats\,” and then it went silent. What we all found out later that day is that a small heard of goats were on the road just past a curve. Apparently the noise from the car and its driver yelling as loud as possible on the radio scared the goats away because no one else observed this obstacle.   \n\n\n\nNow\, we can’t promise you that same level of excitement\, nor do we want you to experience it for yourself on this Chicago Region SCCA Tour.  However\, if you join us this coming Saturday\, May 15\, 2021 the Chicago Region and its G.O.A.T.S. (Get Out and Tour Series) backroads tour series will provide you with an enjoyable day of driving\, using great Wisconsin backroads providing scenic views and plenty of turns and elevation changes. The drive will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete ending in Paoli\, Wisconsin\, where there will be options for lunch and some socializing. Registration on opens April 12\, 2021. click on the link to MotorsportReg\, the entry deadline is Saturday May 8\, 2021.  \n\n\n\nEntry Fee per car: $14.00 SCCA Members\, $30.00 Non-members (Weekend membership for all non-member drivers is required (fee is included in entry). Any navigator / passenger who is not an SCCA member must complete the Trial Membership form (no additional fees assessed).   \n\n\n\nStarting point: Blain’s Farm & Fleet\, at the northeast corner of the parking lot near the McDonalds. Check-in at the event will open at 9:00 am\, with the first car off promptly at 10:00 am.  Please remain in your vehicle with a mask on when you arrive\, the registrars will come to you.

SUMMARY:NY: NCHS Road Rally Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Looking to escape the rigors and isolation of Covid-19 for a bit? The Niagara County Historical Society is hosting their first ever NCHS Road Rally fundraiser on June 12\, 2021. The entry fee is a $50.00 donation to the Society per vehicle\, and a driver and at least one crewmember is required\, but you can add more\, as long as you finish with everyone who started.  \n\n\n\nUnlike the Memorial Day Indianapolis 500\, our Rally is NOT a race but a contest that will test driving skills\, knowledge\, powers of observation\, memory and the ability to do simple calculations while maneuvering your vehicle across a timed course over the roads of Niagara County.  \n\n\n\nParticipating vehicles will be given departure times between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM\, route instructions and a sealed envelope containing the Rally end point\, just in case you get hopelessly lost.  Participants will not have to leave their vehicle for anything. The drive will take approximately 2 hours. \n\n\n\nThe “fun” doesn’t end with just the leisurely drive through the country\, your team will also be tasked with decrypting clues\, identifying landmarks\, and recording information as you travel along the route.  On your arrival at the destination\, you will turn in your driving log with your recorded information for scoring. For timing concerns\, much of the route was planned below the posted speed limits but you will be responsible for obeying all traffic and civic laws. \n\n\n\nDue to this year’s pandemic\, there will be no post-Rally Award Ceremony\, but final results will be emailed/mailed to you within a few days of completing the course. Winners will be posted at the Niagara County History Center\, 215 Niagara St.\, and in the Erie Canal Discovery Center\, 24 Church St.\, both in Lockport and prizes TBA. Rally Instructions will be mailed/e-mailed to each competitor upon registration\, but your route instructions will be handed to your navigator only four minutes prior to your departure time. SUMMARY:OH: Delusional Drive to Daly Rd Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an afternoon of Dashing thru Northern Hamilton County from Fairfield to Mt. Healthy to New Baltimore\, along city streets and county roads on the Delusional Drive to Daly Rd Road Rally. This is an easy\, fun rally of 100 miles\, and as many questions to keep you and your Navigator awake searching for the clues to the answers. There will also be a set of EZ Instructions for those who would rather just enjoy the drive. The search is on for Daly Rd. When you see it\, you’ll need to mark it down for extra points\, or should I say for extra credit\, as the idea is to have the least number of points\, not the most. We should finish up starting about 2:30\, meeting afterward for food and beverages and scoring at Rick’s Tavern next door. \n\n\n\nPre-registration is strongly encouraged to ensure a place and to facilitate social distancing at on-site check-in. The cost for the event is $30\, with a discount available if at least one person in the car is a current SCCA member. \n\n\n\nA road rally is traversed over public roads within the legal speed limit. This is a GTA aka Game/Tour/Adventure Rally\, with no calculations necessary. The challenge is to follow the route and answer as many questions as possible. The Rally Master is Jim Knepper. \n\n\n\nChoose your option for this event and sign up for one of these options: \n\n\n\n(1) the competitive route instructions will include questions to be answered in order to score and determine the winner. The points earned will be counted for the Regional Championship. Some of the route directions will require some decision-making\, but there are no intentional traps.  \n\n\n\n(2) or if you prefer to join us for a fun drive with no scoring or prizes\, you can choose the Drive Instructions. The route is the same for both options\, but the fun drive will have explicit instructions to make it very difficult to get off course. \n\n\n\nThe schedule is: \n\n\n\n  9:00 AM – Registration and Check-in opens 10:15 AM – Safety Meeting (approximate time) 10:30 AM – Depart (approximate time)   2:30 PM – Could arrive at endpoint (approximate time)   3:30 PM – Must be at endpoint in order to be scored and awarded points \n\n\n\nFollowing COVID-19 protocols at the time\, we expect to be socializing after the event. If you do not feel comfortable meeting as a group\, your answer sheet can be picked up from you in the parking lot.

DESCRIPTION:After a very successful run last year\, we are happy to offer the return of the Ice Cream Social Distancing Rally. This event is a ‘Photos and Questions’ only Rally where participants navigate between local ice cream shoppes whilst winding through some of the best driving roads in Connecticut.  \n\n\n\nThis is an entirely self-service Rally that can be performed at any time between July 1 and July 11. Take it as slow or as fast (within the limit) as you like. Run the course over again on another day if you missed something. It’s totally up to you. The route ends at Lenny & Joe’s Fish Tale – 1301 Boston Post Road\, Madison\, CT. Just make sure to submit your answer sheets to us at Rally@cvrpca.org by the end of July 11. \n\n\n\nAt least one member of each Rally team must be a Porsche Club of America member. SUMMARY:TX: Historic Tour of San Antonio Social RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:San Antonio has had more battles fought within its city limits than any other town in North America. These battles occurred while San Antonio was under the jurisdiction of Spain\, the Republic of Mexico\, the Republic of Texas\, and the United States. This Road Rally will take you to the approximate location of each site; however\, the exact location of some of the sites is not known\, and other sites ranged over several miles. If you want a more detailed investigation of any site\, you are encouraged to revisit site(s) on your own and at your convenience. The oldest two sites date from 1813\, and the latest site dates from the 1870s. \n\n\n\nThis is a non-speed social Road Rally whose route will be along city streets\, and speed bumps may be an issue for some cars. We will start on the west side of San Antonio\, proceed to the far south side\, and then complete our tour just north of downtown. It should take between 90 minutes and two hours for this Road Rally as you learn about the history of San Antonio.  Questions will be asked along the way\, but awards will not be based on questions or a car’s finish position. This Road Rally is meant to be a fun social outing and learning event. Children are welcome. \n\n\n\nThe Social Road Rally fee for this event is $25.00 (the same for SCCA members and non-SCCA Members).
