SUMMARY:MD: Get the Dust-Off Rallye XXXVI
DESCRIPTION:The 36th Annual Get the Dust-Off Rallye will be held on Sunday\, May 4th\, 2025\, sanctioned by the MG’s of Baltimore and is dedicated to the memory of Richard W. Murphy. It will start and finish at Dejon Vineyards! This will be a GTA (Game\, Tour\, Adventure) style rallye of approximately 60 competitive miles. Our 2025 Get the Dust-Off Rallye will have no unpaved sections. \n\n\n\nCLASSES: All vehicles are welcome. Classes will be provided for Historic vehicles up to 1981 and modern vehicles 1982 and later. Awards will be based on the number of entrants per class. \n\n\n\nSTART & FINISH: Dejon Vineyards. Bring along your picnic basket lunch and tailgating supplies. A food truck will be available on site. Wine tasting will be provided for entrants (MGOB hand stamp required). \n\n\n\nREGISTRATION: Opens at 9:00 AM. The Drivers’ Meeting at 9:45 AM\, and the first car is off at 10:01 AM. Please plan to arrive early. Registration fees are $25 per car\, with a $5 discount for early registration by April 19th.  \n\n\n\nAll vehicles must have at least 2 people. If a minor (less than 18 years old) is to participate\, you must contact us in advance to secure a Minor Release form\, which requires the signature of both parents. \n\n\n\nContact Rallymaster Eric Salminen for registration information\, or head to our website!

SUMMARY:CO: Rallye Glenwood Springs
DESCRIPTION:The Rallye Glenwood Springs\, now in it’s 73rd year is the longest continually-held car rallye in North America. It brings cars and drivers of all marques together for three days of driving fun. Friday June 6 is our TSD Rallye from Denver to Glenwood Springs\, followed by a Welcome Dinner for participants. Saturday’s event is a scenic gimmick rallye starting and finishing in Glenwood Springs\, and Sunday includes a car show and funkhana. The entry fee for those team competing in all three events\, and the car show\, is $99.00.\n\nThe rallye is a traditional Time Speed Distance (TSD) event and is challenging and devious\, but probably not diabolical. Our Ministers of Misdirection and Skullduggery (Rallye Masters) have avoided hard-to-see signs and other annoyances to ensure a fun and challenging rallye experience. Like last year\, we are using a GPS-based smart phone app called the Richta GPS Competitor to score Friday’s rallye\, which is a free and easy to use app that is available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Be sure to download the Richta GPS Competitor app before arriving on Friday morning. \nAs always\, please bring a clipboard\, pen/pencil and paper\, stopwatch\, and a well-read copy of the Rallye General Instructions (downloaded from our website). Also bring a charger for your smart phone that you can use in the car.  The GPS function uses more power than the phone alone. One or more experienced rallyists will be available at the start location to answer questions and get you on your way. \nAll assigned speeds will be at or below posted speed limits. There will be breaks along the route\, including a lunch break. \nRallye Classes:\n\nNovice SOP (Seat of the Pants) – Rallyists are eligible for Novice class until they win a First Place or have competed in THREE TSD Rallyes. Pencil and paper calculations only.\nIntermediate SOP – Rallyists are eligible for Intermediate class until they have won First Place in Intermediate class.  Pencil and paper calculations only.\nExperienced SOP – No limit on experience. Pencil and paper calculations only. Rallye charts and tables are permitted.\nVintage – Any equipment must be period correct. Cars must have been manufactured before 1970.\nComputer – No limit on equipment.\n\nParticipants are expected to properly determine their Rallye class and enter it in Richta GPS Competitor. Failure to indicate your class in Richta GPS Competitor will place you in Experienced SOP class. \nAwards are given for first through fourth places in Novice and Intermediate classes\, and first through third places in Experienced\, Vintage\, and Computer classes. \n\nAll car brands (and their drivers) are welcome and no experience is necessary! Hosted by the MG Car Club – Rocky Mountain Centre\, this long-running and reasonably priced event includes fun competition\, beautiful roads\, and great cars.

Put down that Guidebook for the Recently Deceased and hop online to navigate The Rallye Club’s Google Maps Beetlejuice Q/A Gimmick Rallye on Saturday\, June 7th.\n\n     The BeetleJuice BeetleJuice will also be a charity event\, allowing rallyists to donate to the Gary Sinise Foundation or the Wounded Warrior Family Support organization as their entry fee on the registration form.\n\n     You’ll use Google Maps View and Zoom for this special event. Downloadable instructions will be available at Noon\, and the Rallye will finish by 7:00 PM. There is a Beginner’s School via Zoom at 1 PM to explain the Rallye and how to use Google Maps Street View\, and a post-Rallye Zoom at 8 PM for results\, discussion\, and awards. \n\n     Registration is available online!
