San Antonio has had more battles fought within its city limits than any other town in North America. These battles occurred while San Antonio was under the jurisdiction of Spain, the Republic of Mexico, the Republic of Texas, and the United States. This Road Rally will take you to the approximate location of each site; however, the exact location of some of the sites is not known, and other sites ranged over several miles. If you want a more detailed investigation of any site, you are encouraged to revisit site(s) on your own and at your convenience. The oldest two sites date from 1813, and the latest site dates from the 1870s.
This is a non-speed social Road Rally whose route will be along city streets, and speed bumps may be an issue for some cars. We will start on the west side of San Antonio, proceed to the far south side, and then complete our tour just north of downtown. It should take between 90 minutes and two hours for this Road Rally as you learn about the history of San Antonio. Questions will be asked along the way, but awards will not be based on questions or a car’s finish position. This Road Rally is meant to be a fun social outing and learning event. Children are welcome.
The Social Road Rally fee for this event is $25.00 (the same for SCCA members and non-SCCA Members). Registration is at Hagerty MotorsportReg, so click here and register your team today!
We strive to keep our event listings current, yet both event organizers and our team may not get word of event changes posted timely. Please check with the organizers before making your travel plans.
