Our Kick-Off Rallye is truly the kick-off event of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix as it occurs a week before our Race Week. It’s like an afternoon scavenger hunt on wheels. The route is kept a secret until you are given your instructions that morning. Your score is determined by how close you can follow directions and stay within posted speed limits and reach the finish line. You also need to answer some trivia questions along the way. The lower your score the better. No experience is necessary, just have fun and help raise funds for our charities.
The 2016 Kick-off Rallye will once again begin at the Schenley Park Cafe and Visitor Center which is just across the street from Phipps Conservatory in Oakland – right on the same road where we will race two weeks later! The driving portion of the Rallye starts at 11:30 with cars leaving every 60 seconds. It takes 2-3 hours to complete the Rallye. The final destination for meals, drinks and awards is still a mystery – stay tuned.
