CA: Cal Club First Friday Niter Social Roadrally

The First Friday Niter Road Rally, a five-decade tradition, is sanctioned by the SCCA, Cal Club Region, and the Santa Monica Sports Car Club!
Join us for August First Friday Niter on August 2nd for another Tour Rally in the Citrus Blossom Series presented by Santa Monica Sports Car Club. Rallymaster Rachel Smith has written this rally using some of her favorite roads, which she says are “all about the view.” The rally will head West along SR 126, but won’t quite go into Ventura County this time. After a few miles in the local hills, the rally heads back into Santa Clarita, ending at Toppers Pizza, 23710 Valencia Blvd, Santa Clarita (corner of Valencia and Magic Mtn). Come on out and help us celebrate the club’s 64th Anniversary!
This rally uses the Competitor—Richta GPS Checkpoints app for timing and scoring, with timing in tenths of seconds. The maximum penalty this month is 120 seconds (2 minutes) per checkpoint. The app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone. Go to the App Store or Google Play Store, or https://richtarally.com/ to download. There is no need for additional timing equipment or clocks – your Official Time shows in the app!

Please try to register online at MotorSportReg at msreg.com/FFN082024. If that doesn’t work for you, you can still register in person at the start. We start in the rear lot at the Bank of America in Mission Hills. In-person registration opens at 7:00 pm, with the first car out at 8:01 pm; there is a beginner/Richta meeting at 7:40 pm.
