CA: Cal Club First Friday Niter Social Roadrally

It’s April—the month of fools. And that means Larry Scholnick is the Rallymaster for the April First Friday Niter, sanctioned by the Santa Monica Sports Car Club and the SCCA, Cal Club Region! Larry is fooling us by having a trapless rally—yes, it is a tour! There are two lettered instructions that have you change speed at each “something.” All checkpoints are listed in the route instructions.

The rally finishes at IHOP, 39176 10th St W. Palmdale.

This rally uses the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring, with timing in seconds. This month’s maximum penalty is 60 seconds (1 minute) per leg. The app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone. Go to the App Store, Google Play Store, or https://richtarally.com/. There is no need for additional timing equipment or clocks – your Official Time shows in the app!

Please try to register online at MotorsportReg.com. If that doesn’t work for you, you can still register in person at the Bank of America start; we start at the rear lot. In-person registration opens at 7:00PM, with the first car out at 8:01PM; there is a beginner/Richta meeting at 7:40PM.
