Drawing both San Diego road ralliers as well as visitors from the northern counties, the San Diego SCCA Avocados, Vines and County Lines was a great way to kick off Valentine’s weekend with our February 12th event. With a total of 32 vehicles for this first rally of 2022, ralliers traveled approximately 60 miles on backcountry roads, through farmlands and local vineyards.
The San Diego SCCA is focused on getting newbie ralliers to participate and for this event, we had 10 first-time ralliers, followed by 8 novice ralliers and 9 expert ralliers – plus a few folks sprinkled across specific car makes.

The rally ended at a local brewery restaurant, Prohibition Brewing in Vista, CA. Many of the ralliers were able to meet in person and stayed for the good food and beer. Since we have a lot of ralliers who participate in other San Diego SCCA events such as Autocross and Track, the 2021 Autocross Awards were also held post-rally.
All of the San Diego SCCA Road Rally volunteers are already looking forward to our next rally in April and we hope to see you all there!
