My Corvair was running poorly and eventually died at a stage start. Turns out the distributor shaft seized and the distributor spun into the belt, knocking the belt off. Fortunately, Chris and Raven Hand, the Car 25 Corvair team, and the sweep stopped by to help. I was carrying a spare distributor that hadn’t run since 1969. With the points plate, cap and rotor transferred, both teams worked together to get the car timed and sent on its way.
