There’s An App for That! – Richta GPS Checkpoints – New Releases of Competitor and Rallymaster Apps

Last night, we released new versions of the Competitor and Rallymaster apps for Android and Apple devices. The significant enhancements in this release include the ability of the Rallymaster to specify alternate increments for time allowances and a minimum time allowance.

With these releases, Rallymasters can specify one of two increments for time allowances: HALVES or QUARTERS.

• If the (default) event setting of HALVES is selected, the current set of increments (:10,:20,:30, 1:30, 2:30,…) is used.

• When the QUARTERS setting is selected, an alternative set of increments (:15,:30,:45, 1:15, 2:15, …) is used. The new option allows for additional TA windows in each minute beyond the first.

These releases also allow the Rallymaster to specify a minimum time allowance, such as a minimum TA of 30.

• If using the HALVES setting, the first press of the TA+ button will result in a time allowance of :30 instead of :10. At the request of winter road rally organizers, who feel that time allowances of :10, :15, or :30 on a snow-covered road can be used in an unsporting manner, we added this minimum setting option.

The minimum TA setting can be used with either QUARTER or HALVES TA increments. The apps have long included a maximum TA setting, which remains unchanged.

The new version numbers are:
Competitor – 1.28
Rallymaster (Android) – 1.41
Rallymaster (Apple) – 1.18
