The idea for Classic Car Adventures was founded deep in the Nevada desert while piloting a 1969 Volkswagen Beetle through a freak summer snowstorm. The wipers had broken (literally hanging off the side of the car), and the crosswinds were incredible, but as Dave gripped the steering wheel and Warwick the maps, the idea was sparked. Why wouldn’t other people think this is incredible!?!
Despite having to be home for work the next day, the two of us couldn’t help but scour the map for the twistiest set of roads to get us from point A to point B. Wouldn’t this have been great to do with friends? How much better would this be if it was a mix of incredible cars?
Classic Car Adventures is a collective of classic car enthusiasts with a central focus on the joy of driving. There are no membership fees and no monthly meetings. All you need is a love of cars and a willingness to drive them together. The Spring Thaw Classic Car Adventure is the cornerstone Classic Car Adventures’ event at the beginning of May each year. The motoring season continues with the Rush to Gold Bridge in August and the Fall Freeze in Late September. The season ends with another signature event, the Thanksgiving Run, a final chance to enjoy your classic before tucking it away for the winter.
We believe in providing fun, affordable driving events that bring owners of all makes and marques together as one family…but it doesn’t end there!
